I have a 01 and never have any issues when Left foot braking. I don't think the e-gas was done on the 3.4 motor.

I'm racing a 2000MY 3.4L 996. It is most definitely, without a doubt, an e-gas motor. And there is no problem with power drop-out when left-foot braking in my car.

the 99MY is the only NON-e-gas motor in the 996 line...

Can anyone share what they paid for their roll cage. I was quoted $275 a point by a shop in Chicago, these guys did all the Cayman Interseries cars. So a 10 pt cage would be $3k+, which they quickly ran it up to $5k with nascar bars and other stuff.

A good Custom CUP car copy should cost no more than $3,000. (Not painted).

Too bad you are not closer to Chicago .

$3k was the price I was targeting. I just need to find a copy of a CUP Car cage.

Lots of photos around...

Reasonably priced cages in Chicagoland are not easy to find. Most of the BMW racers I knew who lived here went elsewhere for the cage

Mine is a Cup Car copy. How much depends upon what you have the cage builder do. Just build the cage, or strip and build, window net, how much stripping, paint,... But the bare cage should be around $3000 without the frills and no paint. A cage is no place to skimp on costs. JMHO... and that of the guy I t-boned a while back.

A little rewiring and inside painting of Vali's old SPEC 996. Vali, if you are out there I have pulled out over 75 lbs now.

It's Rainforest Green, MY2000, but I'll have to check the car for the actual paint code. I can't access the code till I get the car off the trailer next weekend. I'll get it to you then.
