Total was within the rules (including weight) and they still DQ'd my time starting me 32nd on the grid (finished 2nd with very aggressive driving . My car had been dyno'd 3 times last year all at 254hp. That was just an odd pull and that happens.
I contacted Ian and he has forwarded my info to Eric Wong the NEC director.
So the ball is rolling. It will be very interesting to see how the turbo project dyno's.
I have run into the same issues with dyno pulls, there are so many contributing factors.

Bob,

I was there with you for that race...I had the red 968. I couldn't believe when you told me you were DQ'd!

I also was DQ'd...but, it was because I forgot to get my car weighed after qualifying session...started out 39th!

That only happens once in your life...hopefully!

Jason thanks. It made for an interesting race. I got up to 2nd two cars behind Joey G and the double yellow came out. There was at least 5 mins left in the race time so I was stoked to got at it, but they dropped a checker. Hey your car looks sweet. Nice build on a 944. It would be great if they separated the start of the super unlimited cars. Total mistake to mix slowly driven fast cars with GTS cars that run the same or faster laps. Every corner an SU car is overbraking and stacking the field. Somewhat dangerous and no way to get around a 400hp car.

Actually, my car is a 968...

I cracked the block at Watkins Glen a few years ago, so I just put a 2.5 liter turbo in it. It still goes like stink!

Just the driver needs a little work...

Hi Gary...curious what you have planned here. I recall RedlineMan's post of years ago on his fuel cell install and IIRC, his summary statement was that it's not a very economical option when you want to take a generic cell and get it down low. Does anyone still produce a cell to fit the in the fuel tank location?

Sloan and I have thought out lots of fuel cell options. All of which were not at all economical, even though my old fuel tank had a hole in it and needed replacing.
The old tank though did have the foam in it so Sloan put that in the used tank that he got for me. Believe me this car does have a budget! LOL!
