Bummer for you. Looks like the 944 antics ruined your race. Very little chance of catching the pack after that FU. Motor sounded very good in the vid. Maybe electrical?

MH ran in F because he has a bump steer kit on his car.

I enjoyed watching the roach hupfer crossman battles. If my US motor is caput, I am building a euro motor and will run in E or F prepared.

The spec boxsters were turning 2:34s to 2:35s. Had decent battles.

I'm a little surprised by the spbox pace. at a 12.21 lb/hp ratio (is that right 2650/217?) I would have thought they would be running closer to the front.

Off topic (sorry): It might be easier (and much cheaper) to just buy a 3.2 (obviously what Crossman did). Then you would have the option to chip it for F prepared (also like Crossman and Roach). I'm not sure if there is anything (legal) you can do to a Euro SC motor for Prepared. A Euro motor sort of limits you to E class. The downside is the weight penalty (100 lbs)... those damn Euros sure run light!

2.5L boxsters made 201, not 217, which puts them at 13.18 lb/hp ratio. Also, most stock/prepared cars are making more than stock HP due to headers, chipping, etc, whereas the Spec part of SPBOX pretty much limits them to the 201 HP.

Juan:

Good to see you, hoping I did not create any drama for you on track. Great result.

Not all Christian and thanks for stopping to check on my friend after his shunt.

Surprisingly, with all the traffic I had to go around during the enduro, there were only 1 or 2 situations where I was not seen taking over. Racing was close and going through T1 8 or 10 wide was exciting :O

Congrats on your racing license !!!!!! Keep it up, you were tearing good laps out there.

And that's flywheel hp. RWHP is more like 175 making their lb/hp ratio 15.14....

ah, ok. I didn't realize the spec part was that restrictive.

edit: the rules say exhaust manifold must be retained but catalytic converter can be removed and exhaust it free. Does that mean no headers?

I'm still arguing my single mass flywheel that has ferris content is in fact allowed, even if its on the engagement surface only and the other bits are billet and shinny. That single item moved me from F to G, thankfully the officials corrected my incorrect read of the rule book which I thought put me in GT4-YIKES. Although during the night practice it was fun passing cup cars, local knowledge is a powerful.

I was pretty pleased with that...I had miserable alignment issues all weekend & had to start 37th in the Enduro...made it up to 15th and set a personal best.

Next year....sub 2:30!!

Cheers,

Rick
