Post Fatality at WGI DE this weekend

Just got a phone call from a rennlister returning from WGI who informed me of a fatality at a DE this weekend involving a green group (solo) driver in a Boxster. I was told the incident happened entering the Boot and was a one car accident.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My sincere condolences to the survivors. Is there a source for more info?

PCA Rosentoter (sp) was the group running today.
Our prayers are with the family.

Yeah, Dale's Track Schedule confirms that Riesentoter was holding a DE event there.

My condolences to the family and friends, as well as to the region and entrants running there. I'm sure it put quite a pall on the weekend.

I feel for the driver and his family, but I also feel for his instructor. I know every time I sign someone off for solo, the first time he or she goes out, I am on needles and pins. Think of the instructor too, as I am sure he feels awful, even though there was probably nothing he could have done.
