Just got back from the 3 day event. Very sad indeed. Condolences to Eric's family and especially to his daughter who was also in attendance at the track.

Just got back from the glen, and as you all would expect it was a very somber day for all of us and particularly for the folks who work so hard organizing and running the events and for the instructor. Although this was just an accident and something that could not possibly have been avoided, it is still devastating for them, as you could imagine.
You all know the track world is like a second family.. this is a tragedy that we all feel personally. My wife and I would like to add to all your kind thoughts for those folks, friends, and especially family. I know they are greatly appreciated.

Very sorry to hear this. Sympathies to family from me here as well. Don't know if the mishap had anything at all to do w/ his solo drive, but I was quite happy to get my solo ticket as well this past weekend and can only shake my head w/ the pain of this irony. Again, sympathies to the family.

This is absolutely horrible and tragic for the family of the deceased and for the instructor, who probably is going through a very painful time now.
This is one reason why I'm not tracking at walled tracks - too much risk and I'm not to the level where I feel comfortable with that extra risk

My most sincere condolences and prayers go out to the family, Instructor, and region. This is always tragic news. All of us who like to track our cars at DE's need to be ever-mindful of safety and be careful out there...
