I read an old post of yours discussing a Boxster engine swap for a Subaru WRX.
You said you had researched this to a fair degree which interested me as I have considered this for over 5+ years.
My initial interest was putting in a Subaru diesel boxer as a true long-distance daily driver.....then the VW diesel fiasco happened.
I've since changed my mind to a standard Legacy boxer (moved away from the WRX since I don't really need the power).
My first concern was 'fit' which you say is not a problem and mating to the transmission is do-able.
The electrical harness was the obvious next issue .....but ......I remember hearing about a guy in Canada who builds custom harnesses.
Even though a harness would probably run $1000.+ I would consider it just to be plug-and-play.
I'm actively watching the Boxster market now...so, if you would be interested in sharing your info I would be an eager recipient.
