The hypocrisy from the Hamilton haters is simply ridiculous. Hamilton’s results speak for themselves in that, currently, he remains the most successful F1 driver in history in many categories. But no: it’s all the car and not the driver’s skill that helped him achieve those results, as he’s nothing better than a ‘journeyman driver who lucked into the best car of its generation’. But Max? Oh, it’s not the car, it’s all Max, which of course is complete bull****.

Max is great, of that there is no doubt. I do not like his personality as he is a bigger whiner than Lewis when the car isn’t performing, but he is at the moment the class of the field, BUT only because he is driving the RB20! Does anyone really think that if Lando and Max switched places that Max would be still beating everyone by >10 seconds at a minimum when driving the McLaren? Of course he wouldn’t; he wouldn’t even be winning because Lando would be in the RB.

It is an undeniable fact that over the history of ‘modern’ F1, the best driver of the moment ends up driving the dominant car: Schumacher in the Ferrari; Vettel in the RB; Hamilton in the Merc, and now Max in the current RB. They are like magnets in that the best drivers obviously want to be in what they perceive as the dominant car, and the dominant, (or hopefully soon dominant) team want the best driver to drive their car, and will trade to make that happen.
Caveat: this doesn’t always work out when a driver disrupts his own career: ask Alonso if he has any regrets, as if he had chosen far wiser over his career, he would own Hamilton’s records.

@thebishman yeah but you are on RL and they know everything and HAM sucks and VER is already the GOAT. Just leave it. Follow Mark Twain's advice because they are winning.

Some points are well taken. But, Perez can't get the speed out of the RB that Max does. Webber couldn't against Vettel. Rosberg took one from Hamilton during his run. but otherwise, Lewis owned him. To beat Lewis, Rosberg said he had to go to another level to match Hamilton both mentally and physically and he had no interest in doing it again so he retired. I think Max deserves credit for making the RB19 and RS20 as dominant as they were/are. Vettel, Hamilton, Schumacher all took a great car and made them spectacular and all conquering. Goes back to that ruthless killer mindset they all share with Max. That to me is the X factor that the great ones all share. Winning isn't enough. Domination is what they seek.

The only reason I replied to you was because you repeatedly seem unhappy with your experience here at Rennlist.

I want you enjoy your time here but as I wrote maybe the only way you can be happy is by moving on to another forum.

If you continue to post broad complaints I can only conclude that you enjoy categorically trolling the other posters in this section and I have to warn you that do so would be a direct violation of the TOS you agreed to when becoming a member.

If you continue with this endeavor you will leave the moderators here with no choice but to ban you.
