So I guess if Jos says he wants to discuss things, you should wear a gum shield.

The Dutch are inherently a little crazy. My ex-gf was half Dutch and her Dad had a real temperament but very successful.

Anyway - I am reading Adrian Newey's book and I am just now at the part where he joined RB. I did not realize Helmet Marko has been there from the beginning and was the one who hired / invited Christian Horner first and then Adrian Newey into the team.

The Wall Street Journal, in an article published today, is saying that the women making the complaint was Horner's assistant -

Even larger questions surround the future of Wolff’s greatest rival, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner. He is currently the subject of an internal investigation over alleged “inappropriate, controlling behavior,” after his assistant lodged a complaint with the team. Horner, who has run Red Bull Racing since it first entered F1 in 2005 and guided it to seven drivers’ world championships, has denied any wrongdoing.

“The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practically possible. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time,” Red Bull said earlier this month.

Horner was interviewed by lawyers on Friday as part of the probe, according to a person familiar with the investigation. And although Horner is scheduled to appear when the team launches its car for this season on Thursday, it’s clear that the allegation has weakened his position in the midst of a wider power struggle between Red Bull headquarters in Austria and the Red Bull racing outfit, based in the U.K.

Should Horner be removed from his post, the sport would be losing its longest-tenured team principal.

It's hard to not speculate at this point and fill in the holes with our imagination. Conversely, an assistant? Really? I don't want to paint with a broad brush but I think Horner is a little smarter than to get romantically nvolved with the typical cliche "assistant." How old is she? Again, don't want to paint with a broad brush and call out these younger people, but the description of work ethic for a Gen Z v. Gen X, especially at a high pressure F1 team is exponentially different.

If they're going to can him and get someone else they'd better get a move on, they'll be racing for real in 2 weeks.

The ‘little brain’ can make even the smartest of men do stupid things, especially if one has a surfeit of arrogance. Something that Horner possesses in spades; along with others in the paddock of course.

It sounded like the complaint was more about an over bearing management style than some kind of romantic involvement:

Yeah, she is probably a Gen Z "snowflake".

I am more interested in the RB20....

Earlier, Newey was saying he wondered if they were too conservative in the design of the new car. It's clear now that he was understating what they had done with the RB20. I can't wait to see how it performs!!

That is the theme I have read in seemingly competent stories from multiple sources for a few days.

I’ve read quite a few articles about the RB20 and from a technical standpoint it seems to be a home run. Now it remains to be seen if it’s quick.

First race is Bahrain which starts on February 29.

It still doesn't seem right to not start at Australia, which is now the third race of the year.
