Default 971 Recall due to fire

Saw something about national recall for coolant pump that can cause a fire. Anyone hear about this yet?

I happened to be near my local dealership and asked them about it. Nothing is being listed on the Porsche website as of yet. The service advisor had no idea which parts would need to be ordered and how long the repair would take. I read the same article and it said that the recall notices should go out next month.

Interesting, had same recall for my wife’s Audi 2.0 in 2018.

That great that the letters have been sent out already. As a curiosity, did you VIN populate in the Porsche/NHTSA website and show that there was a recall?

I texted my VIN for my 2018 Turbo to my service advisor. He said my VIN was not included in the recall. So either it's only certain VINs or Porsche is not showing this recall in their system yet.

Thanks @Droptable, I too had given my VIN to my service advisor but he could not find the recall yet and if it pertained to my vehicle. Your list means that my car is most probably affected but I will have to wait until I receive a letter.

I searched NHTSA on my vin (an e-hybrid) it got the alert. However, it isn't listed in the make/model/year on the alert. Very interesting to say the least. I guess the best advice, wait to see if you get a letter, which based on the alert should be mailed out by 27 March 2023. Maybe if you haven't received one by early April, call the dealer to confirm? That is the path I'm taking unless my dealer says otherwise.

Only certain cars are affected. The VIN ranges to which the recall applies are given in one of the attachments linked in one of the earlier posts.

I can see it in PPN using my VIN but not when I look up on the NHTSA recalls site.
