Apparently there are two or three levels of repair that may be necessary on this recall, and the shop won’t know which level service/parts are necessary until they have the car apart.
As was explained to me, dealers are supplied in advance with the first-level part, and this may suffice for many (or most) of the cars affected. As I said, the service dept in my case had to actually send a photo to have this secondary part approved.
Porsche NA isn’t going to send every possible part needed to every dealer, for over 24,000 cars, when only a small fraction will need the upper level of repair.
Indeed, they wouldn’t schedule the initial repair until they had the basic part(s) in stock…but then there was more…
Hopefully you can process the logic of this circumstance.

18812332[/url]]Thank you for your convoluted logic. I will take the car back if they don’t have any part on hand to do the job. That’s simple logic to me, Got that!
Best of luck in this world.

Got a date weeks ahead, dropped it off and got a loaner (base McCann), went home and parked the Mac. Ford Focus RS for a few days and done. Just roll with it. Not like the self igniting engines in the 14 GT3, almost not like.

Recall done at my dealer last week. Report says it involved the following parts. Sounds like some cars take more parts depending on the build date.

CEL
I have performed the recall on 2017 Panamera turbo related to replacing additional pump, 3 week later I'm having CEL. Took it to auto zone and the diagnostics show P2635 with a recommendation of "Replace fuel pressure sensor.
" Not sure this is related to a poorly performed recall. Any thoughts?

Took about a week but that is probably because I had other unrelated issues I wanted to be looked at (Transmission issue). I did get a call a few days in saying they had to request more parts (connectors) from Porsche corporate and receive parts from Germany.
2018 Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo -- build date was 12/2017

Got mine done this morning, finally. Only the the three parts listed were needed. Took dealer less than 4 hours to finish, by lunch time, they called me and said the car was ready.
There was also a 2024 Cayenne launch party at the dealership today. Perhapys they have incentive to move things fast as they have to close the dealershop by 4:30 to host the party. I have to say the 2024 Cayenne GT looks very agressive, I would probably consider that as a replacement for the panny down the road.
