GT350
About three weeks ago a white/blue stripe with track pack popped up with sub 1k miles private owner for under sticker. I think everyone needs to pump the brakes for a month or two and wait for the market to POP on the speculators faces who will ultimately take a haircut on this hot potato....
This same hysteria was rampant back in early spring 2006. The cars of the time were the 2007 GT500 and the 2006 C6 Z06. Both were commanding $20k over sticker. Meanwhile at the time FORD dealers would give away Ford GT's for under invoice (minus holdback).

You caught on to that!! Both of those cars were behind the Mustang most of the run until the tires on the Mustang were getting slippery - they were frustrated to say the least and would have been eaten up in the GT3RS. That was the open session when all run groups were out and there were some fast cars on the track at the time.
I know their last auction had a 2014 Shelby GT350 (not the new one from Ford, but supercharged one from Shelby) that sold for $65K, which was significantly below estimate of $90K~110K.
I can't find what I thought I read many pages back...
You can't order up a "regular" GT350 with the Track Pack and delete the rear seats and AC because it would be too close to the R model, correct?
Anyone else try to do that?
You'd think Ford would be more willing to because they just can't make enough R's & carbon wheels to meet demand.

Woke up at 0400 and was on the road at 0500 for a 229 mile drive to New Orleans. Hit the track all day long - 5 sessions (20min each). Had a blast, then immediately after drove the 229 miles back to Florida (that drive home was made in record time). I parked it in the garage like I went to the grocery store. No hiccups, epic experience.

Zero issues. Here's how my track day went.

I'm thinking of switching to R compounds. In the past I have always tracked cars with R compounds. I felt that the tires (stock PSS) were somewhat unmatched with the power and chassis ability. However, I later learned that Ford recommends 28 PSI cold for the track on the Michelin PSS - I had it on factory setting of 36PSI. Need to re-assess at the correct pressure. R compounds will probably eventually be put on once these wear out. I'm not sure PSS will ever come close to them.
