Transmission and Differential coolers are in Track Pack and R's. The 2015 and 2016 Tech or Base models don't have this... in fact the Tremec transmissions are 2 different parts because some of the cooler components is inboard. But for 2017 models all GT350's will have these standard across the board.

Ford stated: "To keep the gearbox cool under extreme track use, the GT350 Track Package and the more aggressive Ford Shelby GT350R have an oil-to-air transmission cooler fed by a gerotor pump. The cooler is mounted behind the front fascia with its own unique ducting. A sensor monitors the internal transmission temperature and sends a warning to the driver if the transmission overheats, a situation Ford says is “unlikely.”

It's also warned by Ford in the supplemental manual... see "Note" below:

It's really too bad for the Technology package owners. When I was shopping for mine, it seemed like only 1 out of 10 cars had track package. Had to fly to memphis from LA to get mine, but now I'm really glad I got the track package.

Roughly 70% produced for 2016 are Tech/Base combined.

Yup - the Track Pack GT350 is nearly as rare as the R version. If you plan on running track days full days with no issues and then driving home hundreds of miles immediately after like I do - then the Track Pack or R is for you.

I'm pretty sure that guy gave me a pass on the track. I thought it was my driving skill. My ego has been bruised. I barely passed a car in limp mode. LOL

Thanks for posting the video. In it you mentioned that you'd gotten the oil to 250F and the diff to 230F. Did you observe those temps during the night session at PBIR, or were you referring to some other DE?

No I was saying to him that was Oil from 230F to 250F on the track (PBIR & Sebring)... and actually at Homestead nascar course I hit 258F Oil max. Diff and Trans are no issues... Trans highest is 168F but typically 160F most of the time. Diff I think in the low 200s, I can't recall exactly... but no issues w/ fluid temps in the Track pack GT350. I'm happy... heck my Z06 hits 280F oil!

BTW, you guys see this latest 1/2 mile runs? GT350 Tech vs. Hellcat:

Not bad at all... 142mph trap.

Nice! Original white with blue stripes with track package. It's the best way to order one.

I was just reading Multimatic race car driver Billy Johnson's impressions of the GT350 - said it reminds him a lot of the Multimatic Aston Martin they race.

Thanks I agree! Though I will say this car can pull off a lot of different combinations very well. I'm also big fan of Race Red with black carbon roof and no stripes among others.

That video is a surprise. I was waiting to see the Hellcat not walk, but run away from the Mustang.

Me too... but the top end of the GT350 is quite strong. On the long sbackstraight at PBIR, the only street car (besides the exotic supercars) that swiftly pulls me is a 991 Turbo S, as expected.

I think supercharged cars suffer in performance once it gets above 130 mph. My Z06 pulls bus length from 60 to 120 compared to the GT3, but once it hits above 120, car doesn't seem to accelerate anymore.

Probably the same thing with the Hellcat. Supercharger looses efficiency. Plus the car is an aerodynamic brick.
