Cite me me the rule then. I’ll wait while you find it and will keep reminding you. I’d love to see it.
No verbal “tip toeing” on my part. Re read my posts.
Practicalities of complying with with the rules and winning races???? Lol. Boy you are desperate. The first practicality is to race on Sunday and not vibrate yourself apart by Monday..
The rules had 0 to do with the fact “they buried them out back” as I was told by those that race in the series.
If you want to believe Ford’s after the fact bs go right ahead. They love “saps” who will buy that bs. I can’t believe there are really people who buy that line. I guess there really are.
Waitng for rule cite.

yes I would agree that the 5.2 block and heads were developed in conjunction with the Voodoo fpc engine. What I’m saying is that there is no “magic” to the 5.2 block and heads. They were developed for a 5.2 whether fpc or cpc. Makes no difference to the heads or block what crank is inside. It’s now the “Coyote” 5.2 likely because cpc with all related internals for a cpc.
The 5.2 Aluminator is an evolution of the 5.2 Voodoo, the Voodoo is an evolution of the S550 Coyote, an evolution of the Boss 302's engine, an evolution of the S197 Coyote. And just as the engine is more than the sum of its parts, there were likely many factors as to why the change was made to the Aluminator for the GT4, such as cost, rules, reliability, marketing "Mustang" over "Shelby" or whatever.
At the end of the day, the engines all share some DNA and are part of one family lineage. As is the Mustang family. Can't we all just get along? Enough already.

Plus, the "First Look" at the Aluminator, as documented in a previous link was Sept. 22, 2016. That's ~2 years after the GT350 was introduced - by 9/16, there were already 6000+ Voodoos roaming the streets. Just saying.

By now that 6000 total production likely 10,000+.

[QUOTE=Mspeedster;14728742]I'm sorry, but I'm finding this nit picking of the engine lineage to be a ridiculous debate. No one component defines an engine, an engine is the some of its parts. What Ford nicknames an engine is simply marketing.

i have no problem getting along. It’s the fan boys that can’t handle facts they don’t like. They get sensative and start calling names. Doesn’t change the facts though. Lol.
I disagee with with your analysis. Yhe Voodoo is the fpc engine and it’s fpc specific components. Its totally different than a cpc engine.it was marketed and touted as such by Ford and all its owners. There was even a “fpc club” here. The fpc engine has nothing to do with Coyote evolution. Going back to a cpc Coyote is an odd way to “evolve ” the Voodoo. Without the fpc it’s not a Voodoo engine. Full stop. Those wanting to believe otherwise are fantising.
Both th fpc Voodoo and cpc Coyote are good engines for their applications, street and performance driving.
Cheers

Back on topic.... GT350R and GT350 :)
My friend's '16 Competition Orange Tech Pack GT350 next to my Race Red R.... and we're humbled next to a wannabe-lambo 5.0

Frankly I can't believe the values of the GT350/R have not been higher. Other than the "big car feeling" which I am sure you'd get used to, I loved the GT350. Totally different than a GT3 but no less awesome in its own regard, they would make nice stablemates IMO.
