Lol! I realize you are kidding around but in seriousness the Camaro guys I've met IRL (at the track!) have been "car guys" and very cool to hang out with. Lurking at the Camaro Z/28 forums I've been surprised at the quality of the posts. And a lot of their enthusiasts are sad and unhappy the car is looking to come in at $70k or so. A bargain in our world and with the quality of the spec of the new car (it comes with forged wheels! dang!).

Yep he went home early, I saw him limp it into the pits some time in the afternoon on day 2. They didn't come back for day 3...but you're absolutely right it was MOVING for being 100% stock...

We stayed true to the original intent. Want a stereo radio? Go buy a ZL1 or a
1LE or an SS and make mods
.

The Z/28 is essentially a race car.

Sorry that some of you don't like that.....but we have to make hard decisions and I stand behind this Z/28 'til the cows come home.

I don't like to be this abrupt - but I'm operating on very little sleep - it's been a long week -- and frankly my patience is running a bit thin with people who don't understand what a Z/28 really is meant to be........"
This is SO cool. Porsche is moving in the opposite direction and would NEVER say something like this....
I wonder what they will charge for replacement ceramic rotors...

Aren't the zl1/zo6 discs like $1100 each?

Does this z28 just kick the *** of the boss 302 Laguna Seca?

I like all the track guys and take pride in befriending the Vette guys...LOL. Naw I've found them all very nice guys...however some GT3/RS guys...not so friendly! We all have so much in common no matter the car brand choice. Maybe someone can't afford a GT3RS so they track something less expensive...big deal...they are doing it.

I am interested in the Z28 and kudo's for Chevy for putting something like it out there.

Hmm, maybe I should have kept my 1977 Z28... I never thought I would be interested in another Z28 but you have certainly got my interest up.

I instructed an event at CA Speedway where all the cars were American muscle cars. Those folks spent money on those cars and took great care of them. Many had never been on a track before. At the end of the day they were so stoked (happy, giddy) and appreciative for the instruction and learning to use their cars in the corners not just the straights. Car people loving their car and the track just like us.

a gear head is a gear head. some of my friends are into old stangs, edelbrock (sp). i dont know much about those, but the sparkle in their eyes and the excitement when they share their passion with me... now THAT'S what matters. i dont care if you are a sunday ferrari guy, aero beetle person, old school VW greatful deadhead, muscle car guy.... i think it's all good as long as you are not pretending.... like your RS can last 24 hours at the 'ring and drive to the office manana. hahaha

Some Mustang and Corvette guys outspend many Porsche guys and they have more beer and better BBQ at the track.

Like Porsche drivers and the rest of track people, super nice people, with a few ******** mixed in.
