Can't even begin to imagine what this car is going to do with a bigger motor, wider tires, more grippy tires, better gearing, lower COG, and better aero.
I think the rear tires are like 285's and it's making that type of lateral grip on a non-Rcompound.
Absolutely no way GM passes up making an NA version beast. I will ban myself if there isn't an upgraded NA model announced by the end of 2014. Corvette is pushing up on 30 mpg, they have no need to go turbo's and such.
Now please please please please GM make us a REALLY reliable motor and I'm all yours.

One said his best mpg was 37 on a 25 mile run. That's plenty right?

Not to say GM is better or worst than any other car manufacturer as far as engine reliability goes but if you track your car your engine will not last long be it Porsche, BMW, Chevy or Ferrari. If you decide to get a C7 - buy it new and use warranty to address engine issue as they arise.

Dez, that's mighty risky !!!
So far all indications are the next HP Corvette will have forced induction.

I'm hoping turbochargers... but not sure.
Cya on SixSpeed.
There are two performance versions coming, Z06 and ZR1 (or possibly renamed). Rumors I heard are N/A again for Z06 and ZR1 will go twin-turbo (or possibly even twin charged, both Super and Turbo).
And from the "Unlikely" files, power is scheduled to be close to 600hp and 700hp for the models, respectively. I'm guessing 5-10% less...
Surprised in a good way to hear that GM put Multimatic PSSV dampers on the Z/28.
Will GM put those dampers on the next Z06?
Seems likely to me. Also seems likely that the Z06 will have standard carbon brakes like the Z/28 (these will be way cheaper than Euro brands' offerings on replacement parts)
I'm at 69,5K
3LT Z51 alcantara everything, CF dash, suspension exhaust Comp seats.
I think that's just about all you can get except for caliper color, naked CF roofs, etc.

WOW!
69.5K all that???!!! That's definitely a bargain if it holds up!
I cannot imagine ever seeing GM putting a Turbo on a Vette.
I just thinking there is forces within the co that won't let that ever happen.
But Supercharging on the other hand...
I can only see them Turbo on a V6, I'm into Buick Turbos ad much as Porsches.
But V8 and Turbos I don't see them ever doing that. Just something about them being againt putting a Turbo on a V8 - don't know what they have against it.

I know!! I was considering trying to save 10k to just get loaded and my wife even said WTF are you talking about, do you see your track invoices, you are spending that this weekend LOL.
And she hates the idea of driving a corvette.
So, loaded it is.

My daily needs ventilated seats.
Going to give my current daily to wifey when her lease runs out.
God we have really gotten wimpy haven't we with ventilated seats. Then again we had tractors with ventilated seats, metal pan with 4 hopes drilled in it. Those were the good old days.
