New Corvette...
Yes, it is.
Happily, though, I see an option on the build option list for a Cyber Grey grill that is installed by the dealer at delivery.
Haven't been able to find a photo on the net of that option yet but hopefully that eliminates that chrome strip.
Fingers crossed.

Saw three C7s today at the Baltimore Grand Prix. Very nice in the dark gray and the "arrest me yellow". Such a big car compared to the 991 or the new Cayman S there. Doesn't have the stance of the ZR1 or Z06 of which there were several around the corrals. The wife found the C7 unobjectionable, which would have been the highlight of the day until she asked for a picture with a "cute driver" - who happened to be Patrick Long!

The C7 looked much bigger than the Cayman and the 997s - oddly no 991s in eyeshot of the C7 from the Porsche corral. (and not a single GT3...) It's the width of the car compared to the Pcar's larger side windows/greenhouse that really gets you as well as the height of the front bumper. It could use a splitter. And the C6 ZR1 and Z06 are VERY wide in the back end compared the Pcars. The safety car section had a 991 S Safety Car, ZR1, Panamera GTS, and Viper GTS. The ZR1 looked like the track car.
The rear end of the C7 looked fine in the cyber gray car - really not as big a deal as its made out. The car is low - the whole blacked out portion of the rear is something like knee height.
Interior - LT3 with suede dash and seats looked good. I didn't like the brown interior color - I pretty much like only black. Could not sit in the car.
The car looked good - and there were 458s, a Scud, three GTRs, McLaren MP4-12C, Gallardo, etc. for comparison.
The yellow was very loud, with black wheels, roof, spoiler and mirrors. The light blue was "sparkly" and too much with the chrome wheels.
I think a bit of a spoiler lip, minor drop, de-badge, and some comp grey wheels vice shiny black and I'd be pretty happy with it. I spent more time looking at it in passing back in forth from the ALMS paddock rather than looking a every little design detail/criticism - that and I was towing the two kids and wifey. It's a very "American" design and will do well.
Honestly, I really liked the Cayman S (black on black, loaded) that a dealer had there - but at $78k for that model I'd get the C7 if the "feel" is really there.

Cayman if you're short enough.
Still can't believe Porsche designed that platform for shorter folk. If you're 6'5" then just forget about it.
I remember the time I grids to sit in a Honda S2000 at the Reno Auto show years ago and that was a good laugh. Then what surprised me was my ability to sit in the new Z Cars. Not like I would ever buy one but was delighted that they thought of us taller blokes.
