Not on the C6s I saw but perhaps you know better.

They sourced IMS bearings from Germany.

Seriously, I'm not sure either car has a record for reliability that would make a Honda owner envious.

Whoa, how the hell did that car get like that? That is simply unacceptable! I wouldn't have taken the keys and would have rang up Sascha Glasier's (SP?) Phone.

Less prominent on lighter colored cars white & silver. Black, red, crystal red or Lemans Blue it is very noticeable.

Orange peel is a result of more environmentally friendly painting methods. Chevy isn't the only manufacturer who suffers from it.

I've seen plenty of popped vette motors at track events but I seem to recall it was an issue with C5, no? I don't recall seeing a C6 w/dry sump go bang.

Early C6ZO6 had dry sump issues = boom later ones were better but still susceptible to valve train issues trashing engines. LS3 had really high oil temps and SCCA T1 cars blew a lot. The ZR1 seems to be the most reliable of the bunch, go figure.

I hope the new motors are more reliable

True this Honda owner isn't envious of either the newer Porsches 7.2RS or ZO6 reliability. If I blow a motor in da Civic a new engine is around $4.5k and good used motors go for around $1,500 . Still love my 6GT3

I think Vette motors will be cheap, than again a Mustang V8 is cheap but each time I pick it up, it seems to be 10K..

Ironically the first C6 I got a chance to really look at was Lemans Blue. Didn't notice any issues.

I love the C7's owner's manual:

Recommendations for track oil weight, oil fill, track alignment settings, brake bed in settings.

"Using these wheel alignment settings may cause excessive tire wear. Only use these wheel alignment settings for racing or competitive driving. Excessive tire wear is not covered under the vehicle warranty."

Refers to a separate warranty manual I've not yet seen.

I couldnt find P's recommendations in my manual? Surely a car company w/ such a long history of motorsports would have some recommendation for its owners.
