depending on the final US MSRP, 4cyl Turbo... (it's basically a porsche evoque, i assume thats their main competitor)
i think even with ~250hp it should be a fun "around town" vehicle... but curious to see U.S msrp.. as i've seen the canada numbers and they seem a little high.

the numbers i saw showed the base model was right above 40k.. BUT from the past canada/other countries do have different standard options.. so no telling what that included.
when i first spoke to someone at porsche about the macan, they said mid 30's for the base base..
we'll see soon, i'm honestly not sure where I would price it... seeing a tiguan and q5 in person you just say "that's going to be small".. i'm curious to see the end result and how they handle the back seats and so forth... i really love the cayenne back seats how they go back 4"... but wish they folded flat with the rear cargo area as that would make it MUCH better for hauling random stuff.

Fully optioned it will probably cost $70K, might as well buy the Cayenne and be able to carry some stuff with you.

I was at my dealer last week and he told me that they are expecting three trim levels with unique engines. The base Macan is expected to be powered by a 2.0L turbo sourced by Audi. The Macan S will be equipped with a normally aspirated 3.0L V6. The "turbo" will feature a twin turbo 3.0 V6. None of this can be verified by my local guys - this was just their speculation.
I can't say that I would or wouldn't order one without looking at it in person. I'm leaning towards a Cayenne Diesel at this point.

"Hi Riley,
Sorry for the late reply. The Macan launch will be May 2014. There will be three options:
Macan 4cyl Turbo
Macan S 6cyl 340hp
Macan 6cyl Turbo 420hp"
i think in a later message he did said audi sourced as well.

I am hoping for a Macan diesel for Canadian market, otherwise I'll hang on to see what the fuel rating are but I'll probably end up with a 2010 diesel VW touareg since it will be a mile cheaper.
