Car and Driver puts Macan on its list of the top ten cars for the 10th year in a row. For all the right reasons!

My Porsche journey started 15 months ago with a recommendation from my sister in-law and brother to test drive a Macan because they've thoroughly enjoyed her 21 Macan S. My 2025 Dolomite Silver Macan GTS rekindled a lost affection for driving and enlightened me to the Porsche brand mystique. My delight in the Macan ultimately led me to the purchase on a 2025 Spyder RS, and the journey continues. We went out to look at Christmas lights the other night and I was reminded again at just how special the Macan is in its own right. It is the top of the sport SUV heap in every aspect. I was struck by it's own beauty leaving a local grocery store after our ride.

Beautiful GTS, congrats @Skolian.
It's only an SUV, but try naming a better SUV driving experience besides the Turbo GT...

Jumped on this Macan list from the Cayenne list recently as I Picked up my 2024 Macan S a couple of weeks ago. Just love it so far. Premium plus, PASM and PTV on 20" Pirelli's. Flew in and drove it 900 miles home. Great way to learn about the car. Had a 911 years ago then went to a Cayenne Diesel and then Cayenne S. Sold the Cayenne S to a buddy and got the Macan. I was all over on what to get. Looked at newer Cayenne's , X5, GLE 450, Drove a couple of Macans over the years from dealer while Cayenne had service and while the ride was nice, they were base models and didn't do much for me. Another friend has a Macan S and what a difference between base and S . That made my decision. Found this on PorscheUSA CPO website and made the deal. It will be my daily except when our city goes crazy with salt during a snow storm, that's what the Tacoma is for. Have some road trips planned for this summer!

Jim

My new to me 2023 S. Found it not too far from home with only 5200 miles. I bought it in preparation for knee surgery knowing it would be easier to get in and out of than my Carrera. I thought it would be a short term solution and I would return to another Carrera after rehab but Im thinking this might be a permanent solution. Shocked at how well it handles, its plenty fast for real world use and I get a smile every time I drive it. Who knew?!

^^Those are my favorite wheel choice other than the new GTS Sports Package 21-inchers.

My new to me 2015 Macan S.

One owner, purchased at 96k miles with an extensive service history from the local Porsche Dealership.

It is my daily, which previously was a 2008 Mercedes ML550.

Changed the wheels, as the original ones looked like soccer mom wheels to me, while these black wheels give it a bit more of an aggressive look, at least in my opinion.
I kept the original size of the 20“ inch wheel, as I like the ride comfort and the car came with nearly new tires, so I just swapped tires to the new wheels.

Really enjoyed reading this thread! My latest "regret" is selling my Macan GTS last year. Ive never really regretted selling a car as much as this one. I think the Macan is one of the all time best "daily driver" cars. Its functional, sporty, comfortable, looks great, and from my experience was very reliable. I mis it so much I got an allocation for a new GTS and just dialing my build spec.

Anyway , great thread and to any car enthusiast who needs a daily driver that isnt the average "appliance" car, dont sleep on a the Macan!

My GTS with xpel stealth ppf over black:

Loving all the new owner stories.
@JochenWoern I like the black wheels. Are you going to black out the window trim and roof rails? Maybe plastidip first?

Agree and congrats on the new one!

Pics of my Macan in city mode.
Just a few, tasteful mods.

Thanks Wilder. I am thinking about it indeed, yes. BUT, not in a big hurry.

@TRINITONY Doooo eeeet!!!

@tygate @boyce89976 I live in a town full of terrible pot holes, speed bumps (I cross 7 every time I go out), and cobble stone.
It's surprising how few rattles it has given it's use.

I keep browsing GTS for sale ads. Must resist
