Haha. Sometimes threads that dip into OT are the best threads.

I'm very satisfied with it. It is more firm but not punishing. I used to run in Sport PASM setting. It just a little more sporty. On winter roads I could see myself using PASM Normal setting more often and being completely comfy.

FYI these are Flat 6 fixed links. -30mm/-1.25 inches drop.

A little 3.6 appreciation...

I just drove my friend's 2.9 GTS which on paper seems to be on par with my 3.6 Turbo PP.
440 hp, 405 tq, 4.1 secs for the GTS.
440 hp, 442 tq, 4.2 secs for the Turbo PP.

My Turbo PP not only sounds substantially better, it feels much punchier and faster.
It could be the extra 40 lbs of tq and the 150 lb lighter weight but it actually feels like a different engine with a different map.
Another reason to keep loving my Macan.

Good vibes here. Much preferred to the thread I saw started by some guy who listed off all the things he hates about the car. haha

Too much of that going on here. And it's profoundly undeserved. Welcome to greener pastures!

Default Official Macan appreciation thread

My 2023 Macan S story:
I've had several 911's, and a Cayenne S with the naturally aspirated V8.
In 2024, searched for used (ahem, "pre-owned") Macan S. Volcanic Grey.
Found a pristine 2023 Volcanic Grey with about 3000 miles at a Honda dealership. An older lady had bought it new, drove it a little, decided she didn't want it, and traded it at a Honda dealership for a new Accord!
She had it spec'ed better than I would have.
I like it as much or more than any Porsche I've owned.
2.9L twin turbo V6 has a great burble on start up; tremendous power (vehicle is lighter than the Cayenne, but has just about as much power, so is more nimble, has as good or better acceleration).
Solid, smooth ride; quiet, very comfortable.
Great interior; love the haptic "buttons".
No sunroof, so no potential clogged drains that my Cayenne S suffered from.
The light treatments, front and rear, look awesome at night. Get out of the car and look at them.
I really liked the Cayenne S, but I like the Macan S more. And the Macan S makes me not miss the 911's.
Personally, I don't want anything else. I think it's the best SUV on the planet.

Great story and great ending. I completely agree. I could argue that a Turbo GT is better, but being bigger and 3x the money, is it? Ok... yes it is.

Yesterday we drove our 2023 Macan base from Santa Barbara home to San Diego, a trip that usually takes 3 1/2 hours. Because of multiple accidents along the way, it took nearly 6 hours. A portion of that time we crept along in stop and go traffic. Outside temp was 95 degrees.
The Macan was unperturbed, keeping us cool with AC, and no sign of overheating. On occasions when the road opened up, she responded like Porsches do.

Wife's choices: MBZ GLC 43 AMG, X3M40i, Audi SQ5 and Macan. She picked the Macan T. Perfect car for her especially in the narrow beach

roads of San Clemente.

@SoCalGT3RS @Clark Addison I've driven the 2.0T engine but not in a Macan. Always curious. Must feel light compared to the others. All you need for getting groceries.

I seriously considered a 26 SQ5 for my second car (first car is a 22 TTS) for winter use/errands/backroads as I have always found my wife's Q5s nice, at least for her purposes. Then I drove the Macan GTS -- game over. GTS ETA of 6/10.

We have our 3rd lease 2025 Macan S The only time these cars have seen the dealer is for the free services..
Not ooe problem on any....This one WE will buy at the end of the lease, my son bought the 2019, then the 2022....
There are a few small things about the Macans that I don't like, seeing the instrument panel in the dark, not being able to change the lane change flash to 5 flashes
and the rear seat leg space....but we don't sit in the rear, only the dogs...and they don't complain !!
BUT after all the BMW's and M/B's we have owned THIS is the best ever (Well our 911 is pretty good also)
