did this come via email? Interesting as this appears to be the second one I’ve heard of this voucher.

Yes. Just received the email tonight. Voucher good for a year. Can be used towards the purchase or anything else. If vehicle is already paid, they will send a voucher for service.

I just came from the Macan Forum U.K. and read someone selling their '23 Macan (apparently changed his mind and wants to sell it). His friend said good luck getting a decent offer with it not having electric seats. touch screen or motorized steering column. Ouch.

If someone asked me what the inside of the strong, sleek, durable BMW B58 engine looked like...

I just got the email voucher as well and my car is supposed to be delivered today or tomorrow. My completion date was 1/28 so it seems like I just missed the cut off. Sucks on a $100k+ Macan GTS. $500 seems like a bogus discount honestly. I’ll deal with it as it doesn’t spoil the whole car but should have done a little better than a $500 voucher that simply buys us another jacket or Porsche calendar from the gift shop.

my Macan GTS arrived today but I'm currently traveling out of state. my dealer sent me a couple of photos and from the interior photo, it looks like the steering column is manual. SIGH.

Just sent them an email asking to confirm. but that sucks though. is comfort entry supposed to move the steering wheel as well or just the seat back?

Actually, once I find the spot for my wheel, I seldom move it. Whether it's electrically operated or manually.

It's the EZ access that is no longer as designed. That is very convenient for me and disappointing to lose.

No question, it sucks. And a $500 voucher doesn't is not even close to enough to make me feel any better about it. But I don't hate it enough to refuse the vehicle I have on order so will have to swallow hard and accept it.

I wonder if you could refuse the voucher and remain on a "To be installed upon receipt" list? Under current conditions I don't mind waiting, but I want it!

If you can, let me know. I highly doubt it. It isn't just a case of inserting the chip. From what I understand, the dealer has to remove and replace the entire steering column with a new column supplied by Porsche in addition to adding that chip and I'd bet the total cost to Porsche is far in excess of $500.

Correct. Personally I would not want it done. I can't imagine how many clips and little things they would break in the process (and not bother to replace), it's a big job.

Haven't seen any comment to the contrary, but I presume Porsche is first giving buyers back on the final invoice the cost of the option they are not getting.

Would be really pissed if all I got was the $500 voucher for chachkas I don't want and that cost them a few cents on the dollar.

I'm so old I can remember when Porsches only had manual roll-up windows, no a/c, no adjustable steering, 4-speed was standard, 5-speed came later, no automatic trannies, radios were a dealer-installed option. They were still twice as much as a Mustang, three times as much as a VW. We still bought 'em 'cause they were a hoot to drive. Now, a restored old one is more expensive than a new one!
