You mentioned the base seats and I agree - 14 -ways are a minimum. This loaner Macan has the base seats and I am missing the lumbar support big time - actually I have a mild backache after two hours in the car.

What do all of these posts about other vehicles have to do with the TOPIC of this thread - that is
supposed to be focused on "constructive" things you don't like/hate about your Macan?

NOTHING!!!

2006 Macan S
1. Gas mileage. I knew this before I bought it, but it still sux.
2. Wind buffering noise with front windows down. I figured out I need to lower rear windows some to address this.
3. Interior compartments. Odd and limited interior storage dimensions, and limited spaces with what is there. I never use the door storage cause things bang around in there, the glove box won't hold much when the manual is in there, and the console between the seats is ample. I put the manual in the back with the spare. No idea what you put under the 18 way seat compartments.

An umbrella in one, safety vests in the other.

If it was a few inches deeper I could stick my pistol under there. When I read there was space there, I actually thought that's where I would be keeping it. Im not sure if it will fit an umbrella to be honest.

This is the one I have:
Amazon Amazon
There are many other mini umbrellas that fit in there.

Pistols... I have no idea; one cannot freely carry about a gun in my neck of the woods.

Indeed, in some states, the glove compartment is the only place permitted to carry a handgun in a vehicle. If you have a license to carry, I have no idea what laws pertain when within a vehicle.

This is not a necro post since this thread was always intended to be an ongoing discussion of things you don't like about the Macan...

One thing I hate is that the owners manual/documents holder has nothing that holds the documents together, it's just a leather thing that kind of folds together with nothing latching it. Just went through annual vehicle inspection, and all of the documents fell out, just like they always do, as I was pulling out the insurance and registration cards.

I've never seen any owner manual pouch designed to literally fall apart if you pick it up . Is there a reason for this that I am missing, or does Porsche just not have any sense?

The latter. I don't think they're even providing hardcopy manuals anymore, at this point. At least in some models.

Consistent with the Porsche value motto - "Less is More... Enjoy"

My only real complaints:
1) No physical forward/back track buttons. Really? Everyone is chasing Tesla's streamlined interiors, but I think Tesla interior design is terrible. Give me physical buttons for the most commonly used items.
2) Bose sound is just "OK", a little worse than the H/K stereo in my 2016 BMW X1. But the Burmester is way too expensive for this price point of vehicle.
3) The rear hatch glass attracts a lot of dust, but this happens with most SUVs, not just the Macan.

Otherwise I absolutely love my Macan! It's a base model that I bought in January 2020 before the pandemic kicked in. MSRP was $64,400 but I negotiated down to $61,400 after my Audi Q5 was bought back as a Lemon. For $61K+tax etc the Macan is a phenomenal vehicle. I have 35,000 miles on it now, and I plan to keep it until at least 100K.
