In the stock system, would front caster definitely be out of wack at -2.5 front camber? That's about all I need to go for my use, so wondering if additional parts are necessary at this level. The Wiki makes it sound like the answer is yes.

Part of your answer will have to be determined by what wheels, tires you use, track, skill level, etc.
I have -2.6 on the front with 20 x 9 ET55 wheels with OEM tires and have as yet to encounter rubbing on the tracks I frequent while running in advanced/instructor groups.

I'll be running OEM wheels / tires (right now Dunlops, may switch to PSC2 next set). I tend to run fast intermediate, so sounds like I will be fine.

I guess only issue then for me is which shims to buy!

Thanks.

In addition to what ExMB said, it will probably also depend on how much camber your car can achieve stock. I'm running -2.5 camber in the front, and centering the wheel in the well required 8.8 caster, down from the 9.5 I had when I was only running -1.5 camber. I personally would have been concerned about rubbing issues stepping up to -2.5 camber without the ability to dial back the caster (I'm on stock wheels as well), but I can't say for certain that it would have been a problem.

Could some of that be due to the better gearing in the 987? I thought the advantages of the X51 would be closer to redline. In any case, sounds like a huge improvement!

I believe RSS has a package deal on those. Even if you wind up with extras its still cheaper than buying them individually.

To follow what others have noted... I am running -2.5 camber in front by using only the Motorsport shims (and not lowering). Also using stock wheels. No rubbing found after events at VIR or WGI.

-2.5 is probably at the limit of where you can go without the caster pucks. It is going to be a bit car and track specific. If I remember correctly, I rubbed just a tiny bit at the front of the wheel well at a very high compression track (TWS) while I was fine at the others.

My guess is that with oem wheels most would be okay at -2.5. It is also a relatively easy change and you can go without it and add the caster pucks if you do rub.

Agreed. I don't think I could/would go further without additional modifications. Also not sure if more aggressive offsets would work. It is a little tight. But the compromise between street and track seems to work for my purposes at the moment.

Thank you so much for compiling this wiki! Extremely valuable. Went with the moderate suspension setup and will progress as I get more seat time.

Camber:-2.5F, -2.0R (Shims + Tarett rear toe links w/ lockout)
Toe: .03/.03 (F). .14/.14(R)
Front Caster: 9.78(L). 10.35(R) Will listen for rubbing. Maybe should have done the thrust arm bushings at the time too.
1/2" lower. Factory rake maintained.
CB w/ full ext. tank. 686(LF). 689(RF). 853(RF). 867(RR). CW: 49.8% and 50.1%

First oil change (1300 miles). Millers Nano CFS 5W40, went with Intersport's recommendation.

Can't wait for Summit in a few weeks to enjoy her!

For the main page under oil changes - can we please add the link to the tools we need and torque specs?

This way we can create a comprehensive "go to" page for track and track maintenance.

I can't wait to see how this car feels on track. The steering is pretty freaking awesome. However, I have found that I cannot heel-toe very well in this car. The brake bit is high and the throttle is much lower than some of my other track cars. Are others experiencing this same feeling? I will say that when I drove a 981 Cayman S I was able to heel-toe with ease - I'm talking EASE. It was a gem to drive on street.
