Exactly this.

On my local track (Eagles Canyon) the taller tires leave me running out of revs at the end of two straights, without enough time/space left for an upshift and then two downshifts to be in the right gear coming out of the corners. If I had a PDK, this wouldn't matter, but we all know real GT4 drivers drive stick
