I have a late December build... I seem to be in some weird cusp of I'm ok or transmission will explode. I don't know.
it friggin sux, and some people have had it twice, i'd say it would happen to every car with enough time, porsche don't wanna change every box unless they have to
if the GT4RS has PDKS i will be all over it like a horny dawg
It was indicated to me this AM that Porsche is aware of the issue ( I'm impressed) & that there has been an "improvement" made. That says something but not much. Starting when? They must know exactly which production runs were effected. Not all I think.
Pick up my car today. Doesn't appear to be any consensus on if there's a break in period on the new tranny or not... what's the prevailing wisdom?
My car goes on a transporter to my next track day early next week. Should I put some miles on it this weekend?
I would run through the gears for a few miles to get things moving. It would be a shame if the dealer forgot something minor and it ruined your entire track day......Phil
So after waiting two weeks for my replacement trans to arrive here is what showed up at the dealer yesterday - yes, the box is soaked with trans fluid and case was cracked. Who in their right mind thinks its a good idea to ship a $12k transmission from Germany in a cardboard box? I know there have been others with this same issue - unbelievable and disappointing - apparently Porsche is OK wasting $$$ at our expense....
