Best Track Times in a GT4

I'm hoping to get one near 1:30 my next trip out there Nov 19th before the AER event.
Curious what top speed you get on straight? I see 139.3mph on my data. (stock 981GT4)

were you by chance in the blue group? I was there in my 718 GTS on Saturday. Aside from the fog in the morning it was a great day. I ran a new PB time of 2:23.88. These mid engine platforms are fantastic at Sebring.

Advanced
Lemons
red group for me, then my friend ran it in blue and my brother was my student in green. Miata ran flawlessly both days so we are ready for the 14 hour endurance race!!

My first real track day with this car at Sebring - 2:23.3 with AIM showing a theoretical of 2:22.3
2016 981 GT4
265/295 Falken RT660 on BC Forged 19x9 and 19x11
Dundon headers
RSS rear toe arms
Tarrett camber plates
BGB Track alignment
Stock PCCB brakes
I'm battling an issue where the car limps out if I shift above 7,000rpm which I've narrowed down to the crank position sensor (after already replacing coils and adding heat shields). I was forced to shift around 6,700rpm max all day to keep the car happy. I think the car has 21s in it on a cooler day (was 90+ degrees) and a full rev range.

Nice driving. A friend of mine is a track novice and did her first event at Sebring this past weekend. I sent her your video as an example of a good driver in a good car. It scared the crap out of her, but hopefully inspired her a little too. Were you running with PSM off?

I admittedly did not even try to drive it with it on. I'm coming from BMWs that are impossible to drive fast with their traction control on so my habit is to disable it before going on track.

I was at the track recently in my 991 GT3 and had a coolant leak in the back of the car which caused snap oversteer when the coolant hit the rear tire and I got on the gas. PSM was on and stabilized the car, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been able to catch it. This was in a ~50 mph corner and the corners coming up were a lot faster.
You evidently have skill (and *****!), but even the top pros sometimes spin and crash when they have mechanicals. With that in mind, please also consider getting a roll bar, harnesses, and HANS.

Yup, about $80-$100k 😂
I appreciate the info, I will definitely give it a shot with it on.
Thanks for the compliment. I understand that it can never be expected for everything to go right on the track, and I do have a bar and harnesses on the way already. My previous BMWs were all set up for the track as well so I already own a HANS as well 👍 This was my first real track day with the Porsche and aside from the sensor issue the car has exceeded my expectations.
Yes, I've had that experience with BMWs also. The threshold for Porsche GT cars for PSM to come on is pretty high. Maybe try turning it on and see if you notice a difference. If not, you might consider leaving it on as a safety net.
