Thanks guys.
Jamie, hopefully you'll have something new to bolt to the flanges soon!
Forgot to mention, used a light coating of anti seize on the bolts.
The bumps seen on the coating are tiny lumps of metal, some look like tiny icicles, and they brush off easily.
I'm assuming when Swain Tech lightly sand blasts before coating that some of the metal dust is still there in the coating, and precipitates out when exhaust heat is applied, but doesn't leave any holes in the coating.

I wasn't happy with how it was positioned the first time, and had used two packets which was too much, so after a few weeks I pulled the bracket off without that much effort.
It left a smudge on the paint, but cleaned up with some bug and tar remover.
Second try I roughed up the four pads on the bracket with a file so it'll stick better, and used only one packet.

Hi, how is the license plate holding up with Sugru. I am thinking about doing the same. This seems like a great idea. Thank you

I weighed my car today, it came with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires and ‎has the following options;
Leather
Light design package
18 way seats
Dynamic bi-xenon headlights
Extended gas tank

Goal is to slim down the car to under 2800 lbs, so looking for anything that can help accomplish this while keeping stock appearance, therefore lighter wheels are out.

Full gas tank, full washer tank
IPD plenum (5.2 lbs gain)
Dundon headers (15 lbs loss)
______
3135 lbs weighed (3144.8 lbs original)

To do;
- 64 18 way passenger seat remove (need to code out airbag sensors first)
- 53.8 Racing Brake CCB 380mm/380mm kit
- 44.8 Recaro Pole Position (17 lbs) and aluminum side mounts (2.2 lbs)
- 32.3 Earthx ETX1200 LiFePO4 battery
- 30 Dundon titanium exhaust
- 8.8 Radio delete
- 8 Drain washer fluid
- 7.7 Trunk carpet pad remove
- 1.3 Rear side carpets remove
- 9 Door speakers remove
- ? Frunk spare tire filler kit, carpet, pump, tools, etc.
- ? ?
______
2875.5 (-269.3 lbs from original)

Need to send the Proform 67644's controller back because of RL and RR display glitches.

How dare you, my car is fat, not me!
:)
Good point though, just checked and I'm right on the line between normal and fat BMI.
I like eating well too much, need to get back on the bike...

Nice savings. But curious, is 64 lbs the weight of the 18 way? And 44.8 the weight of the Recaros? If so, shouldn't you be adding back the 44.8 (after deducting 64)? Assuming you are replacing the 18 ways with the Recaros? Or I am reading it wrong?

Anyway, I did a (purely mental) exercise early last year to see how much you could save, (but without gutting the interior and no irreversible changes), and this is what I had -

Mov It 380/380 Cer rotors: ~ -50lbs
BBS FI-R: ~ -27lbs
Lightweight Flywheel: -14 lbs
Li Battery: -30 lbs

Sports headers Cargraphic: -8lbs
Exhaust: Arkapovic - 7lbs/Fabspeed 5lbs

And if you are truly bat **** crazy -
RS CF hood - 11lbs? Link

Thanks sunnyr.
64 lbs is the weight of an 18 way;
- (minus) 64 lbs to remove passenger seat
- (minus) 44.8 lbs to remove driver seat and replace with Recaro, 64 - (17 + 2.2) = 44.8

I was only able to contact the MoveIt US distributor by email, were you able to find a website to order from?

Considered the RS CF hood, but based on the 997 difference between aluminum and CF the saving is only 4.4 lbs, so not worth the ~$13K cost;

http://www.porsche.com/all/media/fla...gbww_Flash.pdf

Luggage compartment lid in carbon

The luggage compartment lid in carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) as currently fitted to the 911 GT2 RS offers more than just sporty appeal, it provides genuine motorsport style and performance enhancement for your vehicle.
Featuring a glossy black carbon-weave finish, it is 2 kg lighter than the luggage compartment lid in aluminium (standard on 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 RS).

Only for 911 GT3, 911 GT3 RS and 911 GT3 RS 4.0.

Got it, so no passenger seat? Hardcore!

This is there US distributor's website = https://www.movitbrakesusa.com/products/. Pretty basic/broken and no web checkout, but I emailed/spoke to the guy (Tom?). He was very responsive and helpful and I almost pulled the trigger, but timing didn't work for me.

Good luck with your project, keep us posted of the progress.

VERY COOL SCALE - I LIKE!!!

Roughly how much did that run you $-wise? Where can i find one?

Also, why are you trying to shed so much weight? do you track the car, or plan on time trialing your vehicle?

Thanks, the Proform 67644 is the only scale I found that can be driven onto without separate ramps.
I got it from PitStopUSA.com for around $700.
I'm doing it for fun, it's mainly a street car, adding lightness is an additional way of increasing the power to weight ratio.

I didn't order the Sport Chronograph option because I don't like analog clocks in cars, but I was interested in the Porsche Track Precision App, and now that it's out of a long beta I thought I'd try it.
It's Order Number/Code 991 044 901

It comes with an additional bracket, I assume it's to be used if moving the adhesively fastened WiFi module and bracket and to another car later.
Comes with wire ties (not shown).

Installing the hardware involves taking off the long center console side piece and the forward most plastic piece, left side of dash, and to get at a bolt securing the lower dash the gauge cluster must come out.

Here's the left lower console's tab that's under the gauges.

Right side of lower console with the bracket it came with.

Remove paper from plastic velcro already attached to WiFi module and stick to the bracket.

The controller that the WiFi module is to be wired to is to the left of the steering column.

Close up.

Remove connector and plug into the new harness, plug other end of harness into the controller, and tie wrap the harness around the ventilation duct, keeping it away from the air bag and pedals.

It's plug and play, no coding needed!

Thanks Jamie, this started as a want to record your sport headers, which I could have accomplished with just an iPhone Voice Memo.
Then I decided to add video with data overlay as well, along with a stereo iRig Mic Field.

Is this install pure plug and play? Or does the car then need to go to the dealer for programming?
