Oil mist that escapes the filter would otherwise enter the intake, and some of it would become carbon on the intake valves and surrounding area.
The filter is intended to keep dirt out, not to keep oil mist in.
If it's dripping out of the filter instead of just misting, a catch can would be appropriate to be a good track citizen.
Keep in mind that a minute amount of oil is also blown past the piston rings and out the exhaust.

I'll probably use the following to secure them, seems to be more effective than wiring them together.
Item Number: 6910 (12) 8mm-1.25x25mm bolts 6pt DHH (need 18, order 2 for 24);

I thought about asking Dundon to ship the headers to Swain but didn't. Ultimately would have been quicker.

A good effective reasonably sized catch can is hard to find. Let me know if you know of a good one that could fit under the car.

I like the ProVent 200, it's 8.7" tall and can be angled up to 45°;

Today I installed a small JEGS catch can at the end of the direct vent mod hose.

Didn't realize how compact it is.

I installed Dundon race headers with Swain Tech White Lightning ceramic coating, using Stage 8 locking fasteners, and added the Dundon COBB tune.
Seat of the pants dynamometer shows welcome torque and horsepower gains, and the power band doesn’t have the weird dips it had before.
Idle is louder, and starting around 3K RPM it gets noticeably louder than before.
After a spirited run there is a lot less heat streaming out of the wheel wells, from lack of the heat sink catalysts, as well as the coating.
I’m back in love with my GT4, although I have to admit to eyeing the 580-2.

Using Stage 8 locking fasteners prevent the bolts from loosening.
When a torqued bolt was oriented so that the finger wasn’t close to the tube, I chose to tighten the bolt slightly so that it could pick up a better orientation on the bolt head, but one could loosen slightly instead.

Two bolts on each middle tube need longer fingers.
Fill out the Stage 8 web form asking for four longer fingers, or figure out which replacement finger package is the right one to buy.

The most important tool for this project is a long flat head screw driver to pry the O2 sensor wire clips out of the attachment points, as there’s no way to get enough leverage with your fingers.

Beautiful work.

Make sure to check the flange to the stock exhaust bolts after a few hundred miles, They'll need to be retightened to ensure no leaks!

If I hadn't used studs I'd try that. Nice install.
