As many of you have already said, and so did Andreas - "PDk vs Manual, not better, not worse, just different". But, he also said what we all know, PDK is faster but less involving.

Matt,

You need to take that wing and plastic trim off and buy replacement as a 'daily' ASAP.

You truly have a one of a kind GT4. Delivered in Germany and signed by AP. Congrats.

PDK, interesting.

Manual GT4 is still what I want personally. YMMV.

Exactly! on the list at my dealer. And for the RS, I dont buy it, i bet 2018/19 sees one....along with a price increase for the GT3. At 130 for a GT3 base, with a turbo base of $150, there's plenty of room to raise the GT3 price and create a spot for an RS version of Cayman...Does anyone really think AP would come out and just admit this in the wake of pent up GT4 demand and a likely second run of this car? Porsche is always cagey IMO.

Propos to Matt, great car. But can I ask why you dont just post what you claim is going to happen in 3 days? Not like you work for PCNA. Just curious, you are hinting, but not telling? Did you sign a NDA? LOL

He may not have an NDA, but perhaps he has integrity?

A Better question would be what reason you have to doubt it and what logic leads you to believe that a GT4RS is pending, when a clear message was relayed?
-This is all literally from the horses mouth.. and I don't question the meeting, considering the signage (which is so f*kn incredible/unbelievable..)

Congrats on the ultimate car delivery story!!! Way to go AP!

He did say RS was too many letter - but GT4R - has fewer letter - add the power kit and pdk and you have a pretty sick track weapon. Sets the stage for the Cup Car with added power. Or GT4R with PDK and new turbo motor, so the race car can have turbo power to be more competitive.

2 days and counting and we will know what Matt already know!

Are you saying this for possible homologation requirements ?

could be for homologation and production parts would cheaper for running costs on the GT4 race car.

Meeting and a signature from AP - so jealous!!

I wonder what his reaction was to asking him to sign your car? "Vat are you nuts? Dis vill ruin zee paint!" or "Jes of course, give my baby zee proper sendoff"

If I were you, I might have to remove that wing, put in on the wall at home and just order another from Suncoast.

I hope whatever the announcement, it centers around a race car. I don't want a PDK version street car being released as I'm sure it would out perform the manual version, and there is something cool about having the pinnacle of your lineage. In addition to that, it would be exciting to see a factory-backed GT4 racing on Sundays to cheer on.

I know this isn't going to happen, but, if Porsche were to put the GT3 engine in the GT4 as a GT4R or a GT4RS, a lot of people, including me would buy it, even at GT3 prices.

Good, if they announce everything this week then my Factory Tour on 9/8 won't have half the areas blocked off.
