Alright, I'll play. Are current GT4 owners going to be happy with this announcement?

I'm somewhat indifferent if they'd offer PDK but my wife would have preferred it as she doesn't drive a manual and while possible to learn, the GT4 is intimidating to her anyways. I prefer the manual for street but only have had PDK on the track (limited time really), so I can't comment on which I'd prefer for enjoyment there.

Cool, but FYI his last name is spelled Preuninger -- check those autographs.

So a 2017 GT4 with an option for PDK.

I had a feeling not gt4 RS due to price. I thought new version of Cayman and Boxster were coming out. Maybe it will be a GT4 version of that car with PDK and turbo power.

Currently the Porsche Boxster Spyder has only a manual transmission.
PDK would be a nice option.

So that brings up kind of a dilemma:

PDK would likely solve the tall gearing problem, but you lose the involvement of the manual. Which is the better trade off.....?

This would be my guess. Someone said this to me today at Cars and Coffee in passing. Back to my original question (would current GT4 owners be happy), I'd still take a manual and NA engine but a PDK/turbo would be interesting.

Maybe they'll raise the price...

Fugg... if pdk becomes an option with shorter gears... I don't think I can not click off the box... well hopefully this means they will build more.

I'd take the manual and longer gearing. After two weeks I've learned to enjoy short shifting and keeping it tame on the streets and hope to enjoy the engagement of a manual on the track but maybe a bit less shifting, I'm fine with this and it's a good compromise.

Ok, I thought my lunch with Derek Bell was pretty cool during this years Le Mans was pretty cool. But that is JV compared to your experience!!! Very cool.

I vote for clear coat and sell at Gooding pebble in 40 years!

Hell Shelby is still singing cars, my guess is that "Andy" wont be doing that.

My guess ???
would be PDK turbo smaller engine ?
Why because a PDK would serve a turbo very well and stay on boost
We will see ..

Well Matt, I feel I must bestow upon your car, the greatest honor that I am capable of. Your car now gets the green highlight of fame in the GT4 database.

Now about this PDK, and future GT4's. Oh I guess I can wait 3 days.
