I can't understand the logic why some people here are talking/hoping for 450hp etc.
First of all when was the last time when Porsche made a significant hp-bump on any car?
Second if you think all the past RS models HP difference compared to non-rs versions; 997.1 415hp->415hp. 997.2 435->450hp and now 991 475->500hp. My estimate is that they re-work the engine bay area in order to get better exhaust and more air to engine and re-work the ECU and maybe some fine tuning on some components - that's all. That would make it to match or exceed a bit the Carrera S engine so lets assume 405-415hp max.
Second, this car won't for sure happen until the facelift version comes out because Porsche have big problems to keep up with the production timetables with Macan (+1 year on some models), GT3 RS and the GT4. There is not enough of capacity to start building the GT4 RS in quite some time. So at least 2-3 years when or IF the car will see the living daylight

PS. #1 on the list like a was with the GT4
PS2. Awesome renders GTautoDesign

Easy, bump up the base price for the .2GT3 to $140k+ and bump the GT4RS base to $100k....easy peasy.

Interesting thread guys as the RS isn't being discussed much over here in the UK.
I have a GT4 coming but for sure would switch into an RS version.
I'm also lucky enough to own a very nice 997.1 gt3 CS. Question is would you sell the gt3 for the gt4? They are at similar price points currently .
Tks in advance

I think Porsche will seek to get the most bang for the buck from their existing hardware and production capabilities. So, I'm guessing that means offering only the PDK-S gearbox from the 991 GT3, bumping power to 410hp via the Carrera S Powerkit, fitting a larger/taller rear wing, and dropping a few pounds where possible. I doubt we'll see dry-sump lubrication or vented carbon fenders and production will be less than 1,000 worldwide. That’s my wager.
