Brilliant! 997.2 GT3 RS power! I think you've already explained it but I've forgotten: Porsche claim 30hp for the X51, you've achieved 65hp, where has the extra 35 come from? Is it Euro 5 or 6 (whatever we're up to now) compliant?

If the powerkit on a 991S adds 30hp, we can expect it to add the same on the GT4. You would also assume that you would get the 15hp back (400 in the 991S vs. the 385 in the GT4) due to removing the bottleneck on the intake side in the form of the smaller Throttle Body and inferior intake manifold. These parts were put on the GT4 because the regular 991S parts "wouldn't fit".

The extra 20hp or so, would most likely come from a tune and the headers which I believe are on the BGB car.

BGB can correct me if I am wrong but I think the math should add up.

This is what John from BGB posted on January 14 on this thread (post #169). I believe he followed through with all of this work.

Folks,

I wanted to update you on where I am on our R&D car's progress and what is on tap for January & February.

My Cargraphic "race manifolds" will arrive next week from Germany. My intentions were to dyno ONLY the race headers to see what sort of power I could make on the car WITHOUT anything else, drive the car for 500 miles to see what sort of CEL comes up and then put a tune on the car here on our dyno across town. At this point I am able to offer a tune from either supplier, both Cobb and my guys in Germany. Furthermore, we can do custom mapping for anyone that wants to make the trip to our shop next month.

Given that i keep getting sidetracked by work projects and as much as I want to do this all sequentially, I am going to throw the kitchen sink at this car with an attempt to exceed 475 crank hp. The mod list will be as follows and I will list it in stages but I am seriously going to try and possibly do this entire thing at once:

STAGE I
- K&N high flow 981 air filters
- PCNA 991 82mm throttle body
- IPD 991 Competition Plenum
- Cargraphic GT4 race manifolds
- Aasco 12 lb. single mass aluminum flywheel

STAGE II
- 991 GTS / X51 Power Kit
- 3.99L Stroker Conversion

So his car has the 3.99L Stroker conversion as well as the X51 Power kit?

I wonder if you just did the X51 Power Kit and Sport headers what you would get

Don't think so. I believe John was holding off on the 4.0L conversion for now.

I believe you are correct. 450 crank HP with just intake, throttle body, exhaust and tune. I believe he's aiming at 475 HP at the crank with the 4.0 conversion.

^Well - depending on the cost you may have to sign me up for this. I was just going to start with LT Sport headers and a tune and take it from there

I believe 475 HP at the crank can be achieved with the 4.0 conversion, but that's just a personal opinion,I don't speak in anyone's name. I remember a competitor's thread that they haven't updated and they were at 460 HP crank with the 4.0 conversion.
475 HP at crank is GT3 power levels and I believe insanely fast in this car!

Go for it.
And sign up for a few track days so you get to feel that power in more than 1st and 2nd gear. Will be amazing.

I am not sure whether contributors to this thread have seen these GT4 tune packages from Cargraphics
