Looking at that Agate/red example make me think that Slate grey with silver wheels and the Spyder Classic would have been phenomenal.

 

Yes that SBM color looks great around the center console. 1900 is a good chunk of change but the owner went all out PCCBs and everything. Congrats, it's a fantastic build, we need more pictures.

For me I want to keep the Spyder in a price range where it makes sense to me.

I'm going to try to get a more modern NAV installed Something with Apple Play so I may see if I can get the can the center console painted at that time. However if I stay with black as my color I don't know how noticeable it will be

 

The problem has to do with the integrated airbag on the doors in
these Porsche models. If it wasn't for that, these trim pieces could
come off. I had a similar issue on my 2007 997S with the top door
panels which I wanted to replace with a leather-covered pieces. I
couldn't figure out how to do it. On the other hand, removing the
door panels was a simple affair with my old 2011 Audi R8...because
it had not safety 'airbags' on the doors!

Am I the only one that hates the painted PCM? It highlights all the buttons, making the interior much more fussy.

 

I configured my cvm spyder w brushed aluminum door panels and center console. I like the finished look vs. the painted surfaces that take me back to my first vee dub bug.

Guess the painted surfaces are meant to conjure images of rawness, function, and lightweight... but heck w my 18 way sofas already on board, how much weight could aluminum trim possibly add?!

To each his/her own, that's why porsche gives us so many choices.

 

I'm with you. I chose brushed aluminum. Painted not my cup of tea. But like you said, that's what's great about Porsche. Individual taste customization!

 

I like painted, just not the PCM for some reason! I agree everyone is different! In fact, I'm going stereoless anyway!

Beautiful, i was set on black till i saw that pic and a few other showroom shots you posted. now I haven't decided. If you get a chance at some outdoor shots I would love to see more pictures

What is the colour - black or red - of the inner door sill guards when ordering the Classic Interior package? Does anyone know?

From the pictures on rennlist the sun visors & steering column casing are red with CIP, contrary to my SA stating that they would be black. I'm hoping that it's red.

With Classic Interior if you order the steering column in leather it will be red. It seems that if you order the visors in leather they will be red also (I did not order leather visors). Neither of these are standard with Classic Interior.

 

Oops! Sorry, I meant when ordering the leather options. Are they still - inner door sill guards -black with the leather options?
