I had also heard it was a 3.6L motor earlier this year but a few other things I had heard at that time from the same source (PDK-S, rear wheel steering) now seem to be in the "Yeah, not so much."category.

it does make a difference

will they....or won't they give the Cayman its due?

it's the difference between wishin' and hopin'

I know I'm wishing and hoping that the "GT moniker" means exactly what Afshin says

but reality will likely set in and Karl will be driving a Corvette next year

One of a kind*. He and his wife Sherry show it, auto-cross it, track it, travel with it...you name it! This is not a garage-queen!

But I don't think we have seen enough...so a few more?

*Only 4 PTS 'Spyders' were ever ordered & imported into the US. A PCNA MY2011 'Meteor Gray' for the Detroit Auto Show (then used as 'Road Show' demo) and three custom-ordered MY2012's - 'Riviera Blue', 'Azure Blue' & 'Speed Yellow'. The latter is the only one ordered by a client directly - JSF101. The other two were dealer specs. So indeed quite special & specced right (e.g. no radio or speakers).

His wife actually looks better behind the wheel then he does. It also looks great next to a certain blue Spyder with yellow brakes .
Seriously jfs101 is very good on the auto x course in either of his yellow toys

Now the latest rumor on the upcoming gt4 it will be a v10 turbo but to keep it slower than the ever growing ( as in really getting big) 991 it will have a one speed transmission coupled to a Cushman motor scooter centrifugal clutch. If you are not over fifty you won't remember the Cushman.

OK I'll admit the speed yellow is better looking than my ABM Spyder. Though by not much. 😄

I wish someone else would have had the opportunity to ax a Spyder at the Parade earlier this year. It would have been fun to go up against another Spyder.

But back on topic. I'm looking for the dust to settle on the GT4 to see if it will be a worthy successor. Perhaps it may be the mutant love child of my old 996 GT3 and Spyder.

mine sat in the grid all day both days, it would have been nice to get a picture of two Agua Blue ones side by side

987.2 Spyder is SUCH a special car. Had no idea so few PTS occurred. Congrats on having the foresight to make a unique car even more rare.

More pics are welcomed

Ok, back on topic. GT4...I would be SO in, but my 3.8L X51 Spyder is the perfect car. So, what's the point
