..current 918 owners will have first priority over anyone else.
Additionally, the priority order goes based on when you first placed your order, so if there are less allocs (200) than there are US-based 918 Spyder first owners (297 to start with, less now that some have changed hands), you might end up with no ability to exercise your VIP alloc because one doesn't exist.
And, for those wondering, you can only exercise your VIP alloc at the dealership you bought your 918 Spyder from. So if they turned out to be unscrupulous, in the end, you're still stuck with them if you want VIP alloc love.

Also, this 200 US cars thing has been making its rounds. If it's true, it's absolutely idiotic. Here's to hoping PCNA/PAG are not idiots.

The 200 cars to the US thing has floated around on Rennlist over the past few weeks. Either it was speculation on some dealers, or it was casually mentioned by insiders at PCNA or PAG... But it doesn't necessarily mean it's definite.
Scream loud enough at your dealers, and have them, in turn, scream at PCNA on your behalf. Porsche isn't Ferrari*, thankfully, so they'll listen.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
(* Even Ferrari listened when enough people screamed about insufficient Enzo allocations, and they made 50 more, that are known, and possibly even more than weren't accounted for.)

Just a reminder to everyone, the 918 Spyder VIP allocation program applies to first owners who still have their 918 Spyder, only. It doesn't transfer to second (or beyond) owners, so "current 918 owners" is technically a wrong statement by dealers.

Are you in LA?
AFAIK, have been told by my dealer, the GT4 is NOT a limited car like the GT3RS and I therefore would not loose my place in line to a 918 owner; that their cars, in this case, would come out of the special allocation program they are entitled to as the original owner of record.

Amazing to what length some stealers and/or some salesmonkeys go through in order to make a sale, justify their pricing.

last estimate I saw was 1500-2000 Cayman Rs for North America and 3500 worldwide
maybe Eduardo or someone else can provide a more definitive number
about twice as many Cayman Rs as Spyders

Same craziness about the 991 GT3 - everyone got one that wanted one.
Call dealer, tell them you want one, send $1k deposit. Tell them to call you when they know more.
Its what I did, and I fully expect to get one
