IIRC on German forums, right after the GT4 came out, there was a discussion with a reference that some new noise regulation will come into effect in the near future regarding the sport exhaust. Also there was a discussion that the sport exhaust may have different control software depending on country of certification; when it opens, when not, etc.

A timeline for the rollout of the new GT3 and GT4-spec models is still being determined,
although both are expected to debut next January at Daytona, following end-of-year test races in Europe.
