Yep, I initially wanted the GT4 in part because everyone kept telling me it would be a classic. I then learned of the production numbers and realized there was no way, there are just too many of them. I bought one anyway because it's a fun car and it's a tremendous value but hell lets not kid ourselves these things are not going to rise in value any time soon, if ever.

So? There's always going to be faster cars. There's probably plenty of modified Miatas out there that are faster than a GT4. So what?
A turbo PDK 718 modified to be faster than a GT4 will not deliver the same driving experience that a naturally aspirated manual GT4 will give.

and RS models would've manual option aswell...
but nope seems that PAG cares about hierarchy and stuff, else we would've had gt3 engine under gt4 platform
imo GTS shouldn't outperform GT4 with just a silly amount of hundred euros of tuning

So, if you were right, Porsche wouldn't have given detuned engines here and there,

And as I said... even though the GTS will be faster... the driving experience will not be the same.

Take a 2018 911 GTS add a Cobb tune and you are in the 500 RWHP range. That's impressive.

I went from Turbo S to GT4. straight line acceleration only makes guys with small members feel happy. GT4 is infinitely more fun, would never go back (assuming I can only have one or the other).

Anyway, I totally get why Porsche didn't give us the 430hp X51 NA motor in 2016; just saying that would be a very nice combo, even if it had raised the MSRP by the $14,000-ish it cost as an option on 991s.
Now, all that aside, It's the funnest Porsche I've owned in a long time.
