That is actually a good question. The car is pretty much unmasked but apparently wearing incorrect parts, which is, by Porsche standards, quite unusual.

WASHINGTON—The Trump administration is considering a plan that would impose new tariffs on imported vehicles on national-security grounds, according to industry officials briefed on broad outlines of the plan.

President Donald Trump has already used a legal provision known as Section 232 to impose global tariffs on imported steel and aluminum, and now the administration is considering starting a probe of imported cars under the same law, possibly applying tariffs at the end, the people said.

Mr. Trump has repeatedly floated the idea of tariffs on auto imports in meetings. The plan remains in its early stages, and is likely to face significant opposition from a number of interest groups, from foreign trading partners to domestic dealers of imported cars.

Applying the tariffs under Section 232, meanwhile, would require a lengthy investigation and report from the U.S. Commerce Department.
The administration is currently considering tariffs of up to 25%, according to two people briefed on the plan.

The Commerce Department is expected to provide details on the plan later Wednesday, according to a person briefed on the matter.

On Wednesday morning, Mr. Trump teased new steps.

“There will be big news coming soon for our great American Autoworkers,” tweeted Mr. Trump.
“After many decades of losing your jobs to other countries, you have waited long enough!”

And this from the Washington Post late today:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/busine...523-story.html

Apparently NAFTA motivated to put pressure on Mexico.
Mexico and Canada will lose their exemption from Trump's metal tariffs at month end.
Talks over a replacement for the 1994 NAFTA between the US., Mexico, and Canada have made little progress.
POTUS is able to use a provision of a 1962 trade law (known as section 232) to restrict imports that threaten to impair the national security."

Maybe an earlier test car with a GTS bumper on it. I doubt they have a lot of 718 GT4 bumpers in inventory. Would anyone buy GT4 wheels and what look to be GT3 rotors but leave the orange reflectors on?

I hope you guys don't get landed with a big import tax, but if you do, welcome to the rest of the world. Hey, but don't worry because an F150 truck will be a great bargain! (and they'll probably make an F75 to fill in any market gaps).
You see the point of government is for you to earn the big bucks, government to take half off you (one way or the other) and give it to someone more "deserving" less a 25% bureaucracy service fee.

This ricer look Cayman GTS with duct-taped wing with GTS rear diffuser and GT3 brakes....no scoops and it was shot before 981 GT4 release. I think it is pretty much Porsche standard.

OK, Thank you! Never seen this before. I remember seeing almost finished cars before the launch and without masking, just like the new GT2, GT3 + RS and 991.1 turbo and so on...

I think this is a good example of some of whoopsies insights from this actual thread making it into an article

I would say the heat has died down a bit.
Quite significantly.

You guys really already had most of what needed to be found out haha

To sumarize

There should be 4 variants of GT4 one is a race car and one is a open top.

2 different engines, 3 share one and the other one have the other one.

3 different transmissions, 2 share 1, then the other 2 each have their own.

3 of them have 400+ HP and a redline line north of 7k. The other one well, it's also 400+hp and with a redline higher than 7k

I think that's all one needed to know isn't it?
