I'm disappointed that people in this forum are flocking to this thread to express their negative opinion on EVs in general. Clearly there are people in here that are interested in talking about THE CAR. Debate the global topic of EV vs ICE elsewhere. In fact, here is the thread to discuss that exact topic. (And full of the same people, hmm)

The financial calculus is different on sports car that holds its value vs one that doesn’t.
200K for a GT car no problem
200k for an EV that will be worth 100K in 2 years, heck no.
I’d consider a preowned porsche EV, but not a new one.

I have never leased a car before because I would most likely go over the mileage. But … for a 983 or Macan EV that might be the better route to go based on how the pricing is on used Taycans. I saw how the market value on my 2018 Cayman GTS 2.5T dropped, the EV models might be worse!

10 over on the base. Roughly 15 on the turbo.

I'm just relaying it to everyone so they can not pay the ridiculous adm's. I think it's shameful. But the plan is to do the same with the 718EV. 10-15K over.

If the Boxster EV shares the PPE platform of the Macan EV, and the Macan EV has front double wishbone, does that indicate the Boxster EV is front double wishbone as well? Or does the air suspension change things.

I hope Porsche had a similar mindset when designing the new 718: https://www.motor1.com/news/718129/s...ngines-in-evs/
If the lack of Macan EV interest is any indication (my dealer has 2 orders and no one on wait list), Porsche is going to have a real problem moving 718 EV units after the initial hype and early adopters.

Yes, considering we are very good friends, actual friends, not the dealer is my "friend" and I have seen the PO data and correspondence.

It's really horrible whats is going on. Meanwhile when these macan turbos are traded in, in lets say 2 years, they will be worth roughly 45-50K maybe on a trade. So your eat 50K depreciation plus the ADM fee of 10-15K.
People can crap on what im saying but there's people on this forum who sell the cars, or are buying these cars and paying these ADM's happily.
