I guess I don’t understand why people would want a car that’s “almost good enough”.
If you want a track car, you would never start with an SUV body. And you sure wouldn’t want it nearly 5,000lbs.
At $67k you can a C8. You could also find a plethora of used vehicles that will do lap after lap on the track and give you a non-simulated shift and real engine noise.
Why would you want a beta product that’s 60% what a fleshed out ICE sports car is today, for more money?
That’s like going out to eat and spending $20 on an “impossible burger” when the real thing is $13 and tastes 10x better.
If someone HAS to have a goofy EV, just wait 1 year and get it half priced. The shine on this N model is already fading.

Can you show me how? Or why you think that?
Thank you.

Don't know how relevant any of this google stuff is, but hey...that Ioniq whatever is way more popular than Spyder RS

One is an unobtainium niche roofless Porsche, the other is a mass market EV SUV for kids (replete with hideous design elements) with majority of marketing effort from Hyundai behind it with press cars, etc. Porsche doesn’t need to market the Spyder RS at all for every last one to be sold.

The Toyota Corolla smashes them both in the "interest" category. So pfffffft to that comparison.

Sample size may have something to do with it, just maybe....
How about this for anecdotal information? Seems like interest is through the roof! I was way off!

Meh, they just need to rezone EV's parked in California as RC-4, let people rent them out as furnished suites they can while at work further sublet out to uber drivers and demand should skyrocket.

Being a Porsche enthusiast means caring about what others think. It's all about what's perceived as cool.
Like manual transmission vs PDK, the faster and more efficient option is what most people buy, but the manual is what gets everyone all riled up. This 718 EV will be similar compared to the gas counterpart, it will be the better car, but won't get the internet warriors bragging online about how they own 1 of 1,466 4.0 manuals in guards red and how good the resale will be after it sits in their garage barely driven for 5 years. At least, not yet.
Still waiting on more information from Porsche. Would like to see the hardtop variant soon.
Edit: I see the mods have renamed the thread and moved it to General forum to just be an EV debate thread. Sigh. Guess when more news drops on the 718EV we can try again.
