Me dropping out is because I have to do a boot once I lose the screens. I've let it run in 'offline testing' and was getting the same symptom last month.
After I rage quit yesterday, I started thinking about other possibilities. So what happened was that screens went dark and I could still rev the engine etc, but I couldn't exit the car, which is weird because everything else still worked. That seems to imply that the keyboard and some logitech buttons also lost their connection. It also only ever happens after an extended period of high demand on the system. I'm now emotionally prepared to start throwing money at the problem and I think the best place to start now is with a new power supply unit.

Quick and dirty way I've always used (since the DOS days) to tell if things are locked up... hit the CAPS LOCK or NUM LOCK keys. Does the little light go on/off as you hit them? If so... then keyboard is fine/machine is not completely dead.
The fact that you can still hear the engine tells me that the machine itself is likely OK.
PSU could be a culprit too - perhaps the GPU isn't getting enough juice. If your PSU supports it, you might try switching to a different rail to drive the GPU. I'd think if the whole PSU was going bad, you'd also get CPU lockups, but if it's just the screens then maybe you've just got a bad rail in the PSU.
So what track are we doing? I didn't see anything posted this morning. I might not be able to join the official practice session tomorrow night as we host Mother's Day so our moms just can come over and not have to do anything.
Good question. Was just looking through things.
Not sure if I'll even bother scheduling a practice unless I for sure know people will join? Last couple weeks I scheduled it and nobody used it.
Today being Mother's Day I figure an even lower chance of folks showing up.

I've run for almost 2 hours now with no crash on the new PSU. It sure makes more fan noise than the old one when I'm working it. I wonder if the fan in the old PSU wasn't keeping up and it was overheating. Fingers crossed it was the $60 part and nothing worse!
Well attendance has been low, but the small handful that have been showing up have been pretty competitive, really. Kevin, Michael, myself, Doug all seem to run pretty tight. Justin you've missed a few weeks with PC issues but you're usually right there with us too.
I know Michael have expressed interest in continuing. I might miss a lot of Sundays but can probably keep up the Wednesday nights myself. I think if we can be pretty confident that at least the 4-5 of us can make most Wednesdays, maybe we try keeping it going? Might help pick up some stragglers along the way and give us a stronger Fall season?
What I don't want to do is schedule events out, then nobody (or only like two) show up... I think that'll hurt us overall (as new folks might show up once, only see 1-2 people and say 'meh nobody shows up' and never return.)
Maybe we just drop Sundays officially but keep Weds nights going if at least a core group of us can make it?
