Maybe we can shorten practice before the race or have an earlier start time? Just a suggestion.

 

Yeah at some point our practice got longer? I seem to recall qualifying was underway by 8, race by 8:15, and we were done before 9 (central).

Were we just leaving some time on the table with the server rental?

I'm fine with a shorter practice, though that may impact the west coast guys and would have likely caused me to totally miss the start last night. Not that it likely made a difference....

 

Yeah racing is definitely mental. If you head is somewhere else it's hard to focus.

 

It's a 2 hour rental for the server so if we shorten practice, something else gets longer. I like it the way it is because people can drop in and out of practice, but then the race and qualy are to the point. We also used to start the session 15 minutes earlier, but people wanted it later so we bumped it later. Unless there is a really compelling reason to change I think we have a pretty sweet setup for evening racing.

 

I got frustrated that I couldn't complete a lap and I wasn't in the mood to work at it. Just one of those days....

 

Sorry I missed the race Wed. I love VIR but I've been sick as a dog for a week. Hopefully I'll be there Sunday for practice if there is one.

Ooooh both of those are good suggestions.

 

What is it about Nurb GP that causes so much degradation in VR performance? It doesn't matter what I have turned on/off, I get a terrible drop in framerate on the front straight.
