Rennlist iRacing thread
Yea just doing Wednesday nights is ok. I'm still surprised that can't pull more people during the summer months. Good chance to keep the skills up and what have you.
I'm not sure if we would get more people to show up if we did the same track that the IMSA or Porsche Cup was doing officially in iRacing for that week?
I'm sure the Italians would say it reminds them of a womans hips or curvy body or something like that.

I imagine "domestic" complaints about time spent racing go up in the summer as well, so it becomes a "pick your battles" scenario. Cut out racing, or cut out simulator, to keep the pretty half happy?
Hi Mike,Hopefully your spin wasn't cause of me or anything. You had an excellent jump on the start! Was another fun race. We got to start reeling in Jim though. Look forward to next week like always.
Glad to see that it seems like Justin got his issue resolved for good! Fingers crossed.

Nope, it was totally my fault. I was falling asleep during the practice session and I could not keep concentration during the race. After the spin and further inability to keep the car going straight, I decided to go to bed.
Mike had an EPIC launch at the start. I was still feathering the clutch as he rocketed by. Nice close racing throughout though. Let's hope it was that RAM stick. I'll keep hoping, but it's so hard to test an issue like this because it only comes up under heavy load for extended periods.
The start was about the only thing I got right.
Justin, you can run Windows built-in memory diag; that should put enough load on it to make it fail.

Oh man it feels good to race. The last 2 weeks I've been able to make it through the races and tonight's battle was especially good. I was driving my mirrors for a lot of the race and it's scary seeing the cars coming up so quick in the braking zones with such a tight pack. Jim got a great run out of sector 1 and forced me to defend the inside line, but I bobbled it mid corner and pushed wide onto the astroturf. It only cost me less than .5 seconds, but that was a lot in such a close battle. I watched the last couple laps from the passenger seat of my car and noticed that I work the wheel a lot more than I thought I did. There's a ton of micro-corrections I do subconsciously I guess.
Last night's race. Small grid but we were fairly close. Seemed tiny bobbles are all it took. Derby bobbled first, then I did... but then Justin bobbled which let me catch back up. From there we were pretty tight - he had me in the back section, I had him in the front... so we were running damn near identical times. I managed to stick my neck out and push harder than usual through the big sweeping left (T3?) which let me pull alongside.... did it 2x, and the 2nd time, Justin bobbled a little bit again which let me pull the over-under and tuck down inside.
Well fought and tons of fun. Also glad his PC held on long enough to let him finish!
