I also wish we could have multiple races. The short 10 lap races are great because they give you just enough opportunity to battle/make mistakes. Having multiples of those would be awesome.

Thanks, I will try that! So I start from the WGI set and go from there, right?

I was trying to turn the car with throttle, just like my 944. In turn 8, I barely turn the wheel, only lifting a bit and back on the throttle and the car turns right to the apex... Not so with a 911 and a huge wing. So it looks like my attemp failed...

Anyway, how can you think a 911 will drive like a 944

I need to race another type of race car in real life, maybe that will help...

I took the WGI setup, softened the rear springs 50lbs, and ran with it. Feels pretty good to me.

Definitely!

I can host one again @ 7:30pm with a shorter practice and longer race if we want?

Yeah this car doesnt have a lot of rotation on throttle, more comes from careful trailbraking into the corner. Start with WGI's and add 2 clicks of rear wing which I ran 16.8's with just that on 9 gallons of fuel. Ted's setup is slightly faster but takes more skill to keep from losing the car but has less power on understeer. I like Jim's idea of removing a bit of rear spring too.

I've never found that removing the gurney on this car is of benefit. There's almost no gain on the straights and a big loss in the corners. At Mosport I really struggle to hook up T5ab. I have fluked into it a couple times and set a smoking fast sector, but I can't figure out how I did it and I can't repeat it.

My wife says I should run the "fuschia" color scheme all the time.

When you felt like you accidentally nailed 5A/B, did it end up being just a weird decreasing radius that put you perfectly on the apex of B so you could get on the throttle massively early?

I think it was more of a double apex. T5a spit me out right to the outside curbing and I managed to keep the car rotating under control for the whole complex. I bounced the inside wheels off the T5b apex curbing ever so slightly and didn't take any dirt on T5b track out.

I can keep up with my ghost until mid corner between T5a and T5b, but then my former self just hooks up the throttle before the apex so much better than my usual self. My optimal sector indicator just starts slipping more and more into the red and I'm almost always .3s back by T7.

I find my best T5a-b is when I brake just enough at the top of the hill hitting T5a apex that I can lightly trail braking, arcing to the apex of T5b. This does require me to brake a bit early and risks being punted into the trap. Which has happened a number of times in different races there.

Rolling speed and early throttle application...

Every time I get a monster run... Like -.50 sec I blow it in 8

I have yet to get a good lap in with a good 5ab run

I got a run on a lot of guys during our last practice session (and mini-race after). I think this best describes how I roll through it: Trail brake to get it rotated, then get on throttle early. Trick is to really be smooth and to roll on the throttle. Too much too soon or too abruptly and it'll spin.

30P, 10Q, 20R is my vote. I'll set one up for 7:30 EST that way.

EDIT: I don't see how you can set the session to be less than 2 hours? I don't want the first session to have more practice after the race so I'll set it up for 6:30 EST and have a longer practice before the short quali/race.
