I was on my computer earlier and it kinda crashed

I loaded up iRacing and it reconfigured my graphix... Had to reset up my trip monitor display and wheel...

Wow... What I difference in drivability... I think over the years all my tweeking sent me down the wrong path...

The car was sooooo drivable! I could turn lap after lap with tons of feel and overdrive the car if I wanted with no issues and spinning

The two changes were the in cockpit field of view and the force feedback settings

It feels so right now

Happy, happy... Joy, joy

Can't wait to race!

Iracing is running updates tonight at 10pm EST. Here is a link to what is being done: http://members.iracing.com/jforum/po...t/3234472.page

More specifically this is what is being done to the Ruf Track:
- Updated tires.
- The wheels have been replaced with proper racing wheels instead of recolored street wheels.
- Updated aerodynamics.
- Improved shocks.
- Now has the same fully auto sequential that the McLaren has.
- Total mass increased by 32 kg to match homologated weight of 1200 kg (no fuel, no driver).
- Fuel cell is exactly 100 liters.
- Set fuel increment to 5 liters (1.3 gal).
- Tach displays correct gauge texture at night tracks.
- New baseline setup.

With this in mind I suggest anyone who practiced on Sunday night hop on before Wednesday to get re-acquainted with the car.

Looks like we have an all new car to learn tonight, updates that came out today:

Ruf RT 12R AWD

- The wheels have been replaced with proper racing wheels instead of recolored street wheels.

- Updated aerodynamics.

- Improved shocks.

- Taller final drive option for high top speed tracks like Daytona.

- Now has cockpit adjustable brake bias.

- Total mass increased by 50 kg to match GTC minimum weight of 1205kg (no fuel, no driver).

- Set fuel increment to 5 liters (1.3 gal).

- Tach displays correct gauge texture at night tracks.

- New baseline setup.

Ruf RT 12R RWD

- Adjusted brake bias.

- Added a Tall gear that allows 227mph.

- Removed pit speed limiter.

- Tach displays correct gauge texture at night tracks.

What did you do with the FF? And what wheel are you using?

I think I'm probably spinning more than I should be because the wheel isn't communicating enough to me about where the limit of adhesion is...

I guess I'll be practicing at 10:30 EST tonight. I ran the Skippy last night too at Summit to see how that was. I don't think I've ever had a car slide that much and be fast in my life so I'm going to try that and the RUF series for Week 1 and likely drop whichever is less fun (and keep doing our League). I see the Skippy got an update as well so it will be interesting to see what that does.

I *might* make this race, which ducks because Sebring is my home track. I am stuck in Miami as my hearing is now scheduled for wed am. If I catch the 330 to DCA I can make it.

I just read a bunch of stuff in iRacing forums.... Lots of setting tweeks where u have to do telemetry on YOUR wheel with all sorts of downloads... It's not just I read a setting and tried it and I worked...

Good news! I hope that gets rid of the hopping we get at LR and Sebring.

Updates are available right now. Car feels more stable in general, and better under braking to me.
