My motto in iracing is "beware of the white car". White cars are usually people brand new to the service who haven't found the painting area, or people who just bought the car and haven't had time to paint it yet.

Ok, a couple of more additions at lunch time, but I think I'm done unless anyone wants to add anything else.

I think it looks good. But everyone needs to be running trading paints for it to show up, right?

That is awesome! Danger Will Robinson!!!!

I guess I better get trading paints, because I have no doubt I will be wearing it someday.

How did you paint the license plate? I tried on my car and couldn't get a layer over it.

You are talking about where the "R" is in the red?
That is the rectangle just above the rear bumper on the paint scheme.

Cool thanks. Yeah I'm still trying to figure out what everything is in the scheme. Like the mirrors and plate etc.

there was someone that posted a scheme out on the paint threads in iRacing that created layers for all the parts so you can turn them on and off to see where they are. A good resource.

Yeah I wonder if there's more than one, because I downloaded one that had all that and it wasn't very helpful. I'm actually planning on creating a quick template/map. It's kinda frustrating how random little pieces are scattered throughout the .psd

I'm pretty sure I read your system specs in a previous post and your machine is pretty healthy...

You should check off "Load 2048x2048 Car Textures" in your graphics options. The paint schemes will come out much much sharper and clearer.

Sean, yes Gimp has layers, you have to use layers, there isn't a choice really. I put everything pretty much in it's own layer so I can move it, change it, what ever. I have a ton of layers in mine.
Here is a great tutoral, this guy has like 4~6 videos.

I will look for that reference RUF paint scheme I have it some place but its out in their forum some place.

Jim, I'm doing the painting on my Macbook Air, but I will check that out as I'm painting in the 2048 size.
