Ok I hate to ask but what might be a mid-pack time for Daytona (not a Justin time :-) ) I just did some testing for the first time at Daytona and I can not figure out corner 1, I'm almost wanting to take it as 2 corners and 2 braking points but that doesn't seem to work either. Tried braking later which doesn't work, the only thing I can think of is braking softly at first but just doesn't seem right. Will look for a race and try and spectate a little.

I essentially take it the same as Jim. I clip that first piece of grass near the pit lane while on the brakes and then turn in just like Jim to apex at the wall.

Ok last night, somebody mentioned something about having the person with the most incidents this week has to paint their car something for next week... a "paint of shame" so to speak.
I think this is hilarious... and might, in the form of gentle ribbing, convince others to stay as clean as possible. Especially since there is no SR in leagues.
What do the rest of you think? Come up with some paint scheme that's horrendous... put Rainbow Brite and unicorns and stuff all over it... and the person with the most incidents in the race has to "wear" it to the next event?

Thanks Jim, I remember seeing that earlier in the thread and was going to go back and rewatch it. Gives me more things to to try. Is that some kind of dash panel in the lower left just below the screen? Useful? I'm using iDash on an old iPhone but kind of small.

Julian, thanks clearly room for improvement I was doing only about 1.49's but only spent about 30min tonight learning it, I know where there is a ton of time I can pick up in T1 and a few other areas. Also was just using the baseline setup, so if you trim it out some will help to.

Also, if there is interest, could someone make a rookie paint scheme for those interested in running it so others around them will know they are very new to iRacing?

Hi All,
I hope I am not the one who is at fault here, but I did have my chat turned off during qualifying and during the race. I do find it distracting, BUT in the future I will leave it on.
I started 19th last night and got up to 11th, I knew that meant that there were faster cars behind me that would be catching me at some point. I haven't watched the replay yet to see if I cut someone off in turn one, but my steering got slightly damaged and then I made a few errors trying to enter the pits. things went down hill from there and since I knew a points finish was out of the question I dropped out rather than cause any further issues. If I caused any frustration to any one please except my apology .
Looking forward to trying again next week
Best Regards,
George (SpeedBump)
