Makes perfect sense, my cayman s had PDK and I was able to get brake pressure.

What year?

Which connection, CAN or OBD-II?

Could we schedule an online session next week or the week after, whenever you are at your car? We'd use TeamViewer so I can see what's going on. You would need to connect your laptop to the Solo DL and have it connected to the car with you actuating the brakes.

That's very interesting. I have tested a number of 2015 and 2016 981 cars using the 991_981_OBDII protocol using an OBDII connection to the Solo DL just last week and could not get four wheel speeds, fuel level or brake pressure, after being told of the same problem experienced by a number of Cali 981 owners....

Not sure why yours works and others don't, including the ones I tested. TIA.

^ I would, but the cs has been replaced with the gt4. I'm going to plug the solo into the GT4 on Sunday to see what I get.

Congrats! Please let us know!

I would have imagine it's a different ECU (3.8 vs 3.4), so perhaps better alignment with the protocol that I KNOW works with all the 991's I have plugged it into and sold equipment for use.

Perhaps you could PM me or send me your email so I could ask a few more questions.

Thanks!

I am taking the GT4 out for a spin today and will run the Solo DL to see what it gets as well.

Great! Make sure you use the 991_981_OBDII configuration sent to the Solo DL to get everything...

Got it. The Smarty Manager 2 is now crashing anytime I connect the SmartCam HD or if I press the update arrow. Not sure if I will be able to get video showing the parameters if I can't fix that. Worked great in October.

Thanks for letting me know about the software issue.

Ok, I have a bunch of test data but usually just use the smartycam info. What do you want to see from the Solo DL? I'm a newbie with this. Thanks.

Ok. If you open Race Studio 2 and click "Analysis" on the left side, a new window will open with all of your "tests," or runs.

Select one of the longer ones (should be a lap count MORE than 1) and double click it or select and "Open Test" on the bottom of the page.

Then, by default it will open the fastest lap. You'll have squiggly lines across the bottom and "Measures" or channels on the left edge.

Select by pressing the channel that says "Brk Pre" or something like that. If you don't have a flat line on the right half of the screen for THAT measure, then it works.

PM me or take a screen shot with more questions.

Other thing you can do is in the "Test database" listing of all your runs, you could right click a longer file and select "Email test." Please send it to my email listed at the bottom of my website in my sig. I'll share what I see...

No brake pressure, wheel speed, or fuel level, but most of the rest is there. Emailing you the file, it's short as I did this driving around town. .

Yes, unfortunately that is exactly what I have found on all 981's through OBD-II. I had NOT tested a GT4.

I'll find a local GT4 to test the direct wire CAN solution, which has worked on other 981's.
