24 Cayenne stop sale
#331
He's not "picking it up today". His sales guy keeps telling him "any day now" and he believes it.
The stop sale is still in place.
My car has been sitting in Baltimore (Cayenne S) since July 17. I have reason to believe I will not see the car until September 15...
At this point, the dealers need to be honest with the customers. Porsche USA needs to be honest with their dealer network. Porsche AG needs to be honest with Porsche USA. Honesty goes a long way, even when the truth is hard to swallow.

LDT:
There is a lot more going on here than "taking delivery today"…
It is the internet.
Nothing I wrote is untrue based on info I have.
The "stop sale" ended today around 6:00 pm eastern. That is true.
When will cars be delivered? Depends on where your car is.
Personally, I have been patient and just waiting.
I suppose I have relearned a previously learned lesson with Rennlist...
It's my fault I forgot that lesson.
Have a good day.

Bobsfly: it has nothing to do with faith. It's just a car. And engineers. And August vacation in Germany...
I’ve been patient and appreciate the guys at my dealer.
Enjoy your new car. It looks nice. Show us a pic of it on the road this weekend. Did you buy the S? Brakes look to be the base Cayenne. I’m probably wrong.
Good luck to everyone with their new cayenne, it's going to be a good vehicle.

I’m in California and am taking a PECLA delivery scheduled in mid/late Sept. My car is currently sitting in Houston, it arrived there July 24. I have been in communication with PCNA in Atlanta, who are coordinating the PECLA delivery. At first they said I may have to reschedule delivery into October because of the Stop Sale. They then dug deeper into the situation and said that I will be able to keep the original delivery date in Sept. This info was from about a week ago. I hope they are correct.

Just heard from my dealer here in Orange County. The software fix has been released in the US. The update takes up to 27 hours.
My S has been sitting at the Port of San Diego for three weeks. Hoping it is on high ground as we have a hurricane/tropical storm moving in tomorrow.

I was able to physically see my S today at the dealership—she was dusty from a month at port, busy still perfect. Dealer said the update only takes 5-10mins. Just wrapped up paper work with delivery set for Mon or Tues and they finalize all the “pre-check” work they need to do on the vehicle. I’m in Texas.

I saw a sold 2024 S Monday, prepped and waiting for delivery. The blank area on the passenger side (no screen) looks…well…just too blank! My SA told me that if you get the passenger screen then the sound comes through the Bose/Burm sound system. No provision for headphones, so whatever the passenger watches will probably annoy the driver.

If the passenger watches through carplay - not sure if there are other ways, maybe airplay which the same applies - then you can choose to use Bluetooth through your phone.
