24 Cayenne stop sale

I am usually not a defender of car dealers but in this case they are at the mercy of the engineers in Germany. They just need to be honest and set expectations. This "any day now" stuff is not honest. Just be honest, it goes a long way. Mid September is the general date we all should focus on.

He's not "picking it up today". His sales guy keeps telling him "any day now" and he believes it.
The stop sale is still in place.
My car has been sitting in Baltimore (Cayenne S) since July 17. I have reason to believe I will not see the car until September 15...
At this point, the dealers need to be honest with the customers. Porsche USA needs to be honest with their dealer network. Porsche AG needs to be honest with Porsche USA. Honesty goes a long way, even when the truth is hard to swallow.

I also received a call at the end of the day that the software update has been officially released, and programming begins next week at the port.

Fix is in
First time poster, but thought I’d update the thread.
Just got a call from Larry at Porsche Burlingame (SF Bay Area). His GM has announced there is a US fix (as of this morning). My Cayenne base is being held in port. They had no updates on when they could apply the fix (eg they don’t know whether it can be released from port or if it needs updating before it’s released). Nor so they know yet the delivery date.
That definitely correlates with some of the recent posts.
We’re getting close!

Picked up the S today in ATL as promised. Porsche made it happen and I couldn’t be more excited! Signed up for the Porsche Experience and it was all worth the wait. First delivery of a 2024 Porsche at Atlanta. Please and thank you go a long way.
